Better lighting schedule, bigger growth, cheaper bills

This is just funny. your 12/1 period has 2 on off cycles and is still running the lights 13 hours a day! It's even funnier that you're using T5's and are worried about saving that extra 3 hours a day. What's your energy savings a whole 5 dollars a month!?! I was vegging with 2 4ft 4 bulb t5's and 2 2ft 2bulbs and my power bill went up a whole 15 dollars a month! LOLOLOL!
You want to do the math???? 12 + 5.5 + 1 + 5.5 = 24 hours

that means your light turns on for 12 (light cycle on #1) then it goes off for 5.5 (light cycle off #1) then it goes on for and hour (light cycle on #2) then off for 5.5 hours (light cycle off #2) That means the light is on for 12 hours + 1 hour. Like I said unless you're in the special ed class that is 13 hours on and with two on and off cycles!

This idea sounds great for stealth growers, but the people who use it really must think narrow visioned. Saving money on electricity? I'm sure you make up the money and more if you keep the regular 12/12 scheadule

i still never said anything about flower .. only the 12-1 lighting schedual and no i m not backing out of it ..
What you did say is that you wish people would read the whole thing! I wish you would have read the whole thing as well! Reading the whole thing includes the flowering cycle part! taking in to account your math skills I'm starting to think you were in the special ed class, so maybe you thought you read the whole thing...

The only thing light size has to do with this is the amount you could possibly save, by cutting your t5's off for 3 hours a day, you cant be saving more than 5 or so dollars a month. Learn to grow weed properly and that 5 or so dollars won't mean shit to you!

Still just crazy! on top of trying to save your t5's 3 hours a day, you're talking about using a cfl instead of your t5's for an hour every day. that cant save you more than a whole 75 cents may a $1.50 a month!

You keep saving you 6-10 dollars a month and real growers will keep producing real weight!

and you will produce more than enough to make up (lets shoot really high here) your $20 dollars a month! Even if it is just for personal use, growing a few extra grams makes up for the MAYBE $20 in power!

I'll "spout off" how ever I wish Especially after you "spout off" about "Gosh Id wish people would read actually take a few min to actually read about something" when you didn't even read the whole thing! I don't think you're growing them properly, so I will say so! That's kinda the point of these forums, let everyone put their 2 cents in (funny 2 cents savings probably worries you as well)

My final 2 cents... I did read up on it! check my posts on the first page, I posted a link to another thread on this same topic (1 cent)! I think you're ignorant and I'm done here (2 cents)!

For the people that are already trying this method, if your not getting more production are you getting less product in the end? Or the same? I mean if your getting the same results its worth it to me alone.

idont know exactly where i read it but there was some study on thc percentage and the length of time the lights are on during veg, and from 12-12 to 9-15 you lose like 30-50% of thc production . ill try and find the article

Im thinking about using a strobe light some day and seeing where it goes.. LOL.. Just an experiment of corse,, Hermies from hell... LOL I know that is very possible but at least the seeds will be either female or hermie which still produce bud.. Strobe lights give off alot of light and I will still have to figure out what flicker setting would do the best if it even works without killing the plant.. LOL
