Nice Bull - gotta be a bitch going through the alder though.
Thanks, its been hectic this year. I didn't know what day it was for a couple weeks, lol..... Those are quaking aspen trees, not near as bad as alder or poplars. To be honest though my drive for this stuff isn't what it used to be. I get a bigger kick when the kids are successful than myself.

Yes, being in my mid 60's it keeps getting harder to find the motivation to get out and hunt. I still like to but every year I find it harder to trek through the bush and hills. If it wasn't for the younger generation hunting and trying to teach them ethical hunting practices, I'd been done with hunting several years ago.

We are roughly the same age I'd guess & I'm getting to be the same.

All I have to do is slide past the meat department in the grocery store & look at a $20.00 pkg of steroid/antibiotic laden burger & I'm tying on my boots.

That's exactly it. Gotta pass it down and teach them right.

He's just looking for a lil hug..
I've got 7 lil somethins for him if he gets too bold - not a hug.
The bummer is if you have to take one "In defense of life & property" you have to explain it to the troopers and then turn over the hide, claws & skull to the fish cops.
Then I'd have to dispose of the carcass as well.

That's a lot of work for nothing.

if they want the hide, skull, and claws...they can remove them from the carcass, back at their office....
i wouldn't shoot a bear unless it became necessary, but we just get black bears around here, a big one is 400-450 pounds....i can yell at them and they run away most of the time....pretty sure that won't work on the brownies
