SO i have been on 12/12 for 12 days and want to change the dark period. I have it running from 8pm to 8am. Will it screw them up to let it go 24 hours dark and switch to lights on 8 am to 8 pm?

dont think it will screw them up? I have read others that have gone through a 24 hr dark period during 12/12 in order to swap the lights on time

it PROBABLY wont hurt much....
luckily your very early into 12/12 so i think you will be able to get away with the switch fine, but if you wanted to be on the safe side, you could switch your cycle 6 hours over for one day, and then another 6 hours over the next day and you'll be at the light timing you want.
thats what i would do actually

Thanks for the advice ....we do not have peak and off peak hours on electricity. I want to change the time so I can work in the room if needed and not be up all night. I will just leave them in 24 hr dark then switch to 12/12 at the times I need.
