I actually recall having this same thing happen before with this guy. He showed me the same pics. :?
Just getting back into growing after more than twenty years off. Now that it's legal I remember how much fun it is !

I am curious, are you trashing Crop Kings because of a personal experience or is this just your opinion ?

Short story, in the mid 80's a friend was on holiday in San Francisco and managed to bring back six Black Indica seeds. He gifted me one and it turned out to be a female. I grew/cloned that seed for over eight years. Back then I knew nothing about topping, training, etc.

Tried soil, then hydro and finally settled on soilless and GH nutrients, 10' x 10' room lined with shiny stuff, 1000w MH/600w HPS.

Not really trying to max out yields but consistently pulled 24 oz from four plants, two crops a year.

Now that seeds are so readily available I'm like a kid in a candy store ! So many choices, so little time, he, he...

I'm relatively new here and not familiar with your work. Perhaps you could share some pictures and how you like to grow ?

Cheers.

BTW > I'm not sure how much better it can get, a one hit pipe full will have me baked for the whole evening and forgetting where I left my adult beverage

Yeah, they suck ! Not....

Cheers, eh ?
Crop kind is brightly colored mediocrity ment to trick persons that don't know about modern genetics. Bulk seeds from Spain bred without true intention.( Other then to make $)
Be cautious of websites that seem to have every popular strain, but give no credit to the breeder.

As Budderton indicates....Crop King is not a breeder but merely a distributor of seeds that they pick up for dirt cheap (likely because reputable breeders won't associate their name with sub-par seeds) then put the seeds in fancy packaging with a colourful Crap King pin, plus excellent marketing.

Crop King is like a box of chocolates......you never know what you are going to get.
(I've had some great seeds from them, but others have been terrible).

PS: I'm from Vancouver, which is where Crap King is headquartered, but they do not have a walk-in storefront, online sells only (that indicates they are so ashamed of their products that they fear a face to face encounter with the locals)

Straight up.

Story time:
I worked in a BC headshop for years in and sold crop king seeds. They offered a limited edition pin with every purchase, and gave a “guaranteed” 80% germination success rate with flashy packaging. Kind of like dangling a flashy fishing lure to pull you in IMO.
They were easy to sell to beginners because once they saw the “Dinafem” prices, they went right back to crop king.

But we had a lot of unhappy customers coming back, saying they couldn’t germ them and wanted a new pack for free - because remember, the package says 80% germination success guaranteed -
(But the company used a loophole, as they are sold for “novelty purposes” and not to be planted due to the current law at the time)
You can just imagine the confrontation(s) lol..

the customers that did get success, said they had the highest hermie count out of any other breeders, and mentioned they just had problems or it was subpar to previous strains run by different breeders.
They switched to dinafem, and we never heard the complaints again.

To make a long story short: Eventually we couldn’t sell ANY at all, and ended up returning our remaining packs to the company and going with “Canuck seeds” and more “Dinafem”

I hate to bad mouth them as I haven’t tried them before, but.. From what I’ve seen, it’s like a box of chocolates..

Thank you for this, much more helpful than an off hand comment with no explanation !

I guess I got lucky with my free seeds :weed:

Looking forward to the True North Seeds experience !

Cheers.
