The same people that sent toys covered in lead based paint, poisonous dog food, and tons of other dangerous garbage around the world, has yalls best interest in mind  This shit cracks me up. Had to fight to get a $5 driver replaced :wall: They literally steal the name of a product "quantum board", and yall expect integrity
Right the country that invade countries for oil and nukes citizens is way better. Let’s not debate this. Stick to the subject or zip it :)

I wouldn't want to debate moral high ground if I was defending China either  Isn't the subject "China leds"? Do you think manufacturers flock to China because of quality  What do nukes and oil have to do with manufacturing quality? Lead based paint on children's toys, and poisoned dog food are directly related to bad manufacturing practices. China steals proprietary information like we breathe air, all day everyday. They cost us billions of dollars, and thousands of jobs every year. All they care about is how something looks. Can you tell the difference between lead and non lead based paint by looking at it?
You don't have a problem with a "company" stealing the name of another companies product, and then advertising as the real deal?
If your cheap, that's fine. But claiming that a knock off from China is the same as the original product is just ignorant and dishonest.
How many grow lights do you use in your operation?

Shall we post pics of our grows? Your “top bin” diodes. Vs my bottom bin?

The current light Im running is the IL8x from Iluminar. Beast light for my 4x4 but im not sure that they deliver to Canada, at least for extra shipping price. I would suggest not getting lights from China though... a lot of grower friends have had bad experiences like you with their products. Sadly HLG, gavita, Luxx and all the high named brands are amazing but pricey

Of course you would want to compare grows with someone who has 1/10 of your experience, to settle the debate about the quality of knockoff leds
Instead of an intelligent debate, I get "jizz dropping off your chin".
By your logic, the lead engineer at Samsung wouldn't be able to debate you, unless he was a top notch grower
I've worked in dozens of industries under different capacities. From grunt to lead man, and everywhere in between. Ive come across Chinese knockoffs in all these industries, and they all share the same common theme. They look the part, but lack the substance and durability.
What really cracks me up, is the fact that you refuse to believe that a company manufacturing knock off products, wouldn't use knock off materials when manufacturing these products. They call their boards quantum boards, but they aren't from HLG. So who's to say the diodes are actually Samsung? Maybe the drivers are remanufactured by a 3rd party company. Wiring inside the fixtures could be substandard.
Thinking their dishonesty stops at naming their products is a bad gamble.

"Designed in Los Angeles" directly on the box of all of Luxx products I've seen. Gavita and Luxx lights are dropshipped from China, as someone mentioned.

you know where Samsung makes their LM301b diodes?

2 plants in China or 1 plant in Vietnam. So Samsung would knowingly build them in China because of low quality manufacturing? lmao
If you think Samsung and Kingbrite have the same quality control and manufacturing standards, you have lost your mind  You ever see Samsung advertising for their new "XP-G3" diodes, or their new Samsung I Phone?

have you been to these mfg plants in China? what are the tolerances in each one? didn't think so. you are making wild accusations without any basis in reality.

Like I said, I've worked in a lot of industries in a lot of capacities. I've met and worked with Chinese manufacturing companies. Shook their hands, shared meals, and worked with them helping an associate get the product to a quality level that was acceptable. I don't spout bullshit for shits and giggles, or to compare who has the biggest dick. You can try to spin it however you want, a dollar is only going to get you so much. Why don't I have any of these products in my house, even though I can get them dirt cheap?
What are the tolerances  Generally, tolerances are discussed between the company and the manufacturer. Do you know the tolerances of the lights you purchased? You can get your calipers and meters out and measure all you want, but that's only gonna tell you what it is, not what was specified. Not to mention, tolerances with a substandard material don't really mean jack. If you have a tolerance of .040, yet the material you use can't hold that tolerance for the lifetime of that product (or have the ability to recalibrate or replace wear parts) what good is it? If you built a building out of popsicle sticks and aluminum foil, even though it's within "tolerance" would you live there?
Samsung Manufactures diodes, Kingbrite Manufactures lights. Samsung manufactures to a standard that knock off companies can't touch, without increasing their price. They also manufacture phones, televisions, household appliances, etc...
I still have gotten no response to the fact that you trust a company, that lies to you right off the rip. They sell you quantum boards, but they aren't quantum boards. So what makes you believe anything else they say is true?
You just gonna act like quality control isn't a major influence on the quality of the finished product?
