China LEDs

They do now. I believe these are 10 bars.

Check this out. They're on suspension, lol. But it sounds like you can still get them if you call them.

I know what tolerances are genius. I literally explained it, right after the sentence you happened to quote. I've got 5 years in a Machine shop, 2 years of quality control at a plastic manufacturing plant, and 18+ years experience in metal fabrication :finger: You asked what are the tolerances. I simply asked the tolerances of what. There are literally millions of "tolerances" across the globe, yet you want me to read your mind? You ask the most generic questions possible, then expect me to respond with specifics? why don't you respond to any point I've brought up? What good are tolerances, if the materials used are sub par? Ever seen a bridge built using plastic I beams, made to the same tolerance as a steel beam?
What differences do Samsungs tolerances make, if your light has fake Samsung diodes?

ROFL, so we have another go nowhere debate about LED's. How cool is that. Can't even bother reading back through this as it's more like groundhog day. Let me guess. China lights suck, No USA lights cost to much. Oh these are this and these are that, this shit always cracks me up. I can find grow journals showing great grows with my HLG but can also find the same with Mars, Spider Farmer, Meijiu, Kingbrite, ViparSpectra etc.... Just find a light with specs that work for you at a price you can live with and grow some plants would be my best advice. Chinese lights grow plants, so do Canadian lights and USA lights. I don't get why everyone always wants to bash the gear they don't have and defend their own purchases. Your plants don't give a shit about what you spent or where you bought your light. If it puts out enough light in a decent spectrum, guess what, it will do the job.

"Shill: an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others." Talk about their prices as much as you'd like, but I'm gonna need some kind of evidence as to how HLG is a hawker/gambler/swindler. Please elaborate. Meiju, Kingbrite, and all these other jokers literally named their product after an existing product. Where I'm from, when someone bullshits you about the product you are buying, we call them swindlers.
HLG hasn't given me a damn thing but a quality product, save the assumptions.

Get back to your little corner of your room with your single, yellowed out plant troll boy

Last strike didn’t Sunni say? You seem to always push your bullshit on any China led thread
Dude. I keep trying to ignore you, and you keep trying to start crap. I don't know what your problem is. You grow nice looking weed, but I don't like your attitude.

I'm trying to figure out no-till and like I've said I don't have it all figured out yet. I also don't test my soi. I just guess what the plants and soil need based on what I see. No I'm no master grower. And I have more than one yellow plant. Maybe I'll rename it Yellow Crack just for you.

Here's one of my Yellow Crack's in my 2x4, lol.

Sorry @canope for this getting off track. I didn't know you wanted this thread specifically about China LEDs. I thought you wanted other people's opinions on any light. Peace guys. I'm out.

Like I said, I've worked in a lot of industries in a lot of capacities. I've met and worked with Chinese manufacturing companies. Shook their hands, shared meals, and worked with them helping an associate get the product to a quality level that was acceptable. I don't spout bullshit for shits and giggles, or to compare who has the biggest dick. You can try to spin it however you want, a dollar is only going to get you so much. Why don't I have any of these products in my house, even though I can get them dirt cheap?
What are the tolerances  Generally, tolerances are discussed between the company and the manufacturer. Do you know the tolerances of the lights you purchased? You can get your calipers and meters out and measure all you want, but that's only gonna tell you what it is, not what was specified. Not to mention, tolerances with a substandard material don't really mean jack. If you have a tolerance of .040, yet the material you use can't hold that tolerance for the lifetime of that product (or have the ability to recalibrate or replace wear parts) what good is it? If you built a building out of popsicle sticks and aluminum foil, even though it's within "tolerance" would you live there?
Samsung Manufactures diodes, Kingbrite Manufactures lights. Samsung manufactures to a standard that knock off companies can't touch, without increasing their price. They also manufacture phones, televisions, household appliances, etc...
I still have gotten no response to the fact that you trust a company, that lies to you right off the rip. They sell you quantum boards, but they aren't quantum boards. So what makes you believe anything else they say is true?
You just gonna act like quality control isn't a major influence on the quality of the finished product?
So what your saying is that you never tried the Alibaba boards? You are just generalizing based on your experience of Chinese made goods?
Why would your opinion matter more than someone who's tried these boards for themselves?

Assembled in China, USA, Canada, wherever. All roads lead back to China as far as the parts are concerned. Samsung outsources much of its production.

For me, I own HLG(s), Meiju(s), and Kingbrite(s), and if you are talking about 288(s) boards LM301B or LM301H with red(s) epistar or cree or without red(s), they all grow the same shit, the same way. My only beef is with Meiju, as their boards are the only boards that have suffered repeated diode failures, one goes out, and sooner, rather than later a whole row will go out. Also one of their drivers caught fire on me, and after a lengthy investigation between Alibaba, Meiju and Mean Well, it was determined that Meiju was selling defective drivers, that didn't pass Mean Well Quality Control, that should have been destoryed, but somehow Meiju got a hold of them and was selling them with some of their kits! So no-more Meiju for me. Anyway, for me, dollar for dollar, Kingbrite is the only way to go, because going the "pick your components route" I can build 320(s) for $118 dollars each with shipping if I buy enough to make 5 of them, which is all I use!

So Meijiu must have dug through a dumpster and dug the drivers out eh?

Non qc passed drivers was always my assumption on any alibubbers.
There does seem to be at least some batches of boards coming out of meijiu with diodes going out. I've seen some on fotops and some on 288 boards, but I've seen at least as many going out on KB boards, even when run soft. Of the +20000 meijiu diodes we have hanging right now not a single diode has gone out over a few years.
The only failure we had was an Italian built board.
