Co2 In a tent with high light intensity or PPFD

Thanks in advance for the help, and thank you to those people who have provided input in some of my other posts.

I live in a desert climate. Warm in the summer and cold snowy winters.

I have a 4x4 gorilla grow tent and during the summer I was exhausting through a carbon filter (due to neighbors noses) and fan out a nearby window. Now that winter is on the horizon I’m thinking of scrubbing the air and circulating it back into the tent.

I also have over 800 watts from quantum boards if ran at max power.

With those two points being said, I’m thinking of supplementing this next grow with CO2 as my light intensity could definitely be high enough to utilize it. Here is a great easy to read and understand link from a trust worth source about light intensity and co2 levels..

LED gardener has also tested the quantum boards I have, and based on his PPFD results WITHOUT reflective siding so I should definitely have high enough light intensity (depending how hard I want to run the lights) to the point where co2 supplementation could and would likely be beneficial.

My questions include, is a quality grow tent like gorilla grow sealed enough to allow co2 supplementation with air circulating back through?

With it being the first time I’ve used co2, what sort of business do you all go to to buy and refill co2 tanks discretely?

Any other information and pointers you could provide would be helpful.

In my opinion To really take advantage of c02 benefits need completely sealed room. Think science lab sealed. In my opinion it was not worth the hassle vs gain so I stopped using it.

They use to sell buckets that slowly put off c02 for given amount of days. Don’t know if they still do.

If your doing it to get better yields first look at light/nutrient. If can improve in those areas then would do so before going c02.

I’m a big fan of co2. That said, it’s only worth doing if you’re not venting air all the time to keep temps in line.

I run co2 in a 4x8 gorilla tent under a Fluence Spydr LED (660 watts, 1700 ppfd) and go through a 20lb tank every week maintaining 1400 ppm. ($8 refills) my temps are mid 80’s with very little need to vent heat.

Tents don’t seal that well.

In my experience, co2 helps a ton with growth up to about week 6 of flower. The last couple weeks, I prefer to turn off the co2, vent more, and drop temps some.

I’ll also raise the lights 6 inches when I cut the co2.

I don’t have to worry about temperatures.

It’s good to know you supplement with co2 in a gorilla tent. Where do you get your tanks filled at???

I’m in a 4x8 tent and use co2. My tents in an office room with no windows so it’s much easier for me to run a “sealed” tent. I probably only go thru a 20lb tank every 2-4 weeks (depending if my tent is full) and I run co2 for veg and flower. Closed loop system, water cooling for ac. When I had a 4x4 trying to dial things in, before running a closed loop I was using a 20lb tank a week. I think it’s very well worth it if you have a lot of control over your environment and the light power. Vigorous veg growth and heavy stacking in flower

$8 20lb refills!? Holy shit that's cheap.
