If its ok Sir I would grab a Chair.
Cool projects goin on here!!

Peace
I'd offer you a beer but...

The starts are looking good. I'm really happy with the starter soil I made. Roots are showing from the bottom of the 2 x 2 pots so I'll be transplanting soon into larger pots. The wait is going to be difficult but the reward should be worth it I hope. I've many more generations to go with this project.

you got me with the beer!
I love it, its liquid Gold for a thirsty throat!

BTW. !!! Those seedlings are looking fucking amazing Bro!
not lanky at all and the color!!! what a green!!!
Great Job!

As for the roots.....
Did you ever try the stuff from advanced nutrients?
I am very conservative and suspicious when it comes to fertilizers and additives....
BUT....
they have three products for enhanced root production Bro, and I boought all 3 just to see if its bullshit. just bought the smallest bottles they offer here.
And....
I was absolutely positively impressed by the stuff.
Its realy good. Unique!!
the only thing I recognised is that it is better when you give not all 3 at once.

I don't use any products other than base nutrients and now I'm mixing my own soil so I'll probably vacuum pack my stash of chemical salts I mix up in case I ever want to use them in the future. We'll see how it goes with homemade soil. If I'm not happy I'll go back to coco. But so far these seedlings are growing better than those I have started in several different name brand soils targeted to the cannabis industry. I like to say that I'm growing cannabis not supporting the commercial cannabis industry.

Homemade soil is better than anything you can buy.

I add up to 50% rubbed horse poop from GF's horse. Uncomposted. But only the apples without piss and straw. Not take the stuff from the stable...that stuff needs to be composted by compost worms for 15-18month before use.
But the pure poop I take from the round penn for example is just ready to go.
I do that for my tomatos since years and I dont use any ferts on them since.
Gf's owns more animals now ...chicken and others that I can use the poop for composting.
But I realy love horse poop it gives your soil a good structure (drains and feels a bit like coco when rubbed).
Just dry one rub n crush it in your hands untill its fine and youll know what I mean. Great stuff!!!
I add bonemeal hornmeal rockpowder wormcompost and what else I can get.
I mix all up in fall, together with the used soil from the finished season.
I make it a nice compost pile rudolf steiner style. That will compost untill next April or May.
Never had any deficiency.

The only thing that can happen is since you compost outdoors, that you have some bugs in the soil or eggs. But thats no problem outdoors but when you take the soil indoors you gotta have an eye on what is developing in it.
Got some huge beatles in it last year. Just collected em and brought em outside.

Peace

I took these pictures a few days ago of one of each cross. Seeds went into soil on September 12th so they were just a few days past a month old. Left to right is PCK green pheno + Durban, PCK purple pheno + Durban, PCK purple pheno + Panama. They really have that PCK look. The one on the left is 14 inches and eight nodes.

Some things I've noticed is that the PCK+Durban crosses are growing more like a PCK without any noticeable sativa traits. There is no real branching at the nodes. Just leaf formation for now and future bud sites. No real branching going on. Some of the PCK+Panama crosses are starting to actually branch out and have actual stems branching out. Not all of them but about half. I'll probably veg them for another couple weeks and then 12/12 them to identify sex. All the females go into flower but only the best male of each cross will get their pollen collected. The best female of each cross get's pollinated by a male of the same cross to make F2's.

I'm probably just going to go with just three gallon fabric pots and soil I made next transplant in a day or two. They're going 12/12 in another two weeks and I want them to be established. And that's another thing. I started this right after I decided to start making my own organic soil blends. After overcooking a couple plants with my first batch I toned down the recipe. Had some issues a few weeks in with these but brewed some EWC, alfalfa meal, and kelp tea and a couple days later everything was fine. Probably should have done one project at a time. Regardless, now that I have the grow medium issue resolved it's time to think about what to do next. I'm thinking about growing some Thai seeds and looking for a male to introduce that into an F2 female. But I haven't decided what I'm going to do. I change my mind on a daily basis.

I was doing this as a hobby to relax and now I'm finding myself anxious and thinking about it all the time. One of the main things I'm anxious about is finding out how the actual bud turns out. Can't these plants just hurry up and grow?

I'm happy so far.

I didn't top anything and I kept the node spacing pretty tight. I didn't top or supercrop. I just let them grow. You can definitely see the difference between the Panama and the Durban crosses. I've included a PCK I grew a short time ago as a comparison as well to see the difference in plant structure.

PCK + Panama

Panistan or Pakima. I haven't decided which one to call it. And we'll see what it does. Might not be a keeper.

PCK green pheno + Durban

Pakistani Poison

I think it's looking good so far.

PCK in 1 gallon fabric pot of soil. Don't laugh. It turned out really good.

Very nice! The PCK sure is dominant in the offspring. You sure are gonna get some vigor in those Pure Indica/Pure Sativa mixes.

I was hoping for more sativa in the crosses but that PCK is pretty dominate in most of the seeds I sprouted. A couple are more of a hybrid but not really sativa leaning.

I'm thinking of crossing these with Old Timers Haze "pure sativa" and a Thailand/Hawaiian cross I'm working on. But before I do that I'm going to work on a green pheno PCK+Durban. I envy the guys that can grow hundreds of plants at a time. I'm limited so it takes time to grow things out. At least I have a hobby to take with me into old age.

I have found out almost every season that looks can be deceiving. I had my fattest leaf plant last year come out tasting like a Jack Herer. Definitely not what I was expecting. What kinda smells are you getting on these?
