Just found your journal bud. The girls are off and running and looking nice. Love those crazy fat indica leaves on a couple of them. Can't wait to see how things develop.

Glad ya found me…all is well here hope same is tru for you!

Ive officially declared flowering status for all 4 plants…the two CdlC are a bit ahead, but I’ve been feeding all of them on the same schedule, so they are in synch nutrient wise.

just changed out the 6500k (veg) T5 bulbs with a mix of 3000k and 3500k T5 bulbs, and there are two 3500k LED lights in there as well. Let the stretch begin…FCF21BA3-3BDF-4F75-9E5A-ACD45CEF0964.jpeg37487A89-BA88-4D1C-8A83-324D2BC6E072.jpegE637EA7D-F0E5-446E-99E8-7A3DD5201F06.jpeg

I see you got your humidity up too. Mine has been doing better the last few days thanks to the weather but VPN has suffered for the previous 3 weeks due to low humidity just like you have been dealing with. Yours are looking really good color and health wise, ready for flower growth for sure.

The CdlC are staying stocky and bushy. I’m not clipping them back too much just exposing bud sites as much as I can. They are in the middle.

on the ends, the 4-way crosses are tall and pretty lanky so I’m keeping them fairly clean of interior leaves for air flow thru them from two fans I have sucking cold air from the floor into the enclosure.

I set the twin two foot T5s with 10,000k bulbs for 15 min in the middle of the lighting period, and I adjusted the four foot T5s to be on with the LED, they’ll be in 18/6 from here on out. Figured they could use some rest every day…

it’s looking pretty lush in there…they got FF Wk 5 and SI today with a bunch of ph 6.3 water. Yesterday was a dry day so the really soaked it up. Gave them them some 6.3 water in the drip trays to keep the bottom moist…1674D21E-6025-49D2-B375-AE887DC69F8A.jpeg61A2D43E-3B49-40AA-BCCA-75B5E9AE88FB.jpeg775ED089-E3F7-459D-8342-9C94F558FC80.jpegDE975CB0-21B5-42E1-BD28-0127898FC3AE.jpeg136DB00A-605C-4EF5-B8F7-B4A5AFCB7F1D.jpeg64AEBF1C-E094-4614-B5F2-A6C342D540F1.jpeg5E89EC39-1792-42A4-8027-D71EF64ABCEB.jpeg0B4504B7-0C45-4BE8-AB9D-16890C4489EF.jpeg50E37727-B148-4B8C-BF00-03A1B8EB882E.jpeg794EC323-F365-49B5-A4A9-447298D2DB19.jpeg

Looking good and well on their way into flower. I can't wait to see them start to bulk up and get frosty. You take really good pics. I've got two of the motorbreath 15 clones into soil and it looks like they're doing well so far. Once I know they're established and growing well I think I'll have to cull the mother plant. It stinks to kill such a healthy plant but there's just no way I can flower such a big girl. I'm waiting on roots from a couple of bubba kush clones and then I can get them in soil to start this grow off right with some healthy babies. IMG_20220226_104436789.jpg

They look amazing! I'm getting itchy waiting for my current to finish. I really want to pop my CDLC. And I just ordered some GassiAuto from bokashi earthworks, so I'm thinking I'm gonna run one of each.

I’ve left the 4-way cross plants as is for the most part with mostly leaf tucking. The CdlC are gonna need a defoliation pretty soon…

Yep, the T5s hanging vertically at the front and back are really letting lower parts of the plant blossom like crazy!

should be a bountiful harvest if I can keep them headed in the right direction.

FF Wk7 feeding today, with a bunch of ph 6.4 water. I water in stages; 500 ml of water, 500 ml of feeding solution, 400 ml of water, 400 ml of feeding solution. the last dose of water is concentrated around the base of the plant to get it wet down to the bottom of the pot. May or may not help with even distribution of whatever I feed them.

im gonna introduce Kool Bloom and Ripen into the schedule Soon. GH advises to use in the last 2 weeks of flowering and I’ll phase it in over time.

i put the two CdlC up on plant stands to get them closer to the light and out from under the canopy of the four way crosses and it is working perfectly.

now I just need to resist peeking in there all day…

The lighting from the front and back sides from the pair of 4 foot T5 fixtures is nailing the face of each plant from the base up to the tops. At the front, I have a Mylar covered piece of foam board resting at the base of the plants and angled upwards around 30 degrees, and above the T5 fixture at the front of the enclosure I have Mylar covered foam core boards bouncing light back into the enclosure at around 30 degrees. I will not have any larf at all…

I’m just about out of Terpinator, so bought this to replace/augment it...the arsenal gains another weapon…

I had all the plants out this AM for a quick defoliation and forgot to snap some pics, so last one below is a quick one thru all the lights I have hanging in/around the tub/shower enclosure. Tons of buds and all in direct lighting either from directly above (Mars Hydro TSL2000), the front and back (pair of four foot T5 fixtures with 3,500k bulbs) or angled in from above (pair of 2 foot T5 fixtures with 10,000k bulbs). I worry about light stress but they seem to all be doing okay. I will adjust the 10,000k lighting to 15 minutes of the middle 5 hrs of the lighting period in a couple days…they are making the tops of the plants closet to them just go crazy with trichrome development…

I‘m in the third week of flowering so probably another five or six to go…

You have me shocked and dazed again. But maybe I’m stoned. Fantastic work, growmie!
My strawberry nuggets have been less than impressive. I don’t I’m looking at a great yield. Anyone have experience or tips?

I heard that Strawberry Nuggets are a compact plant and with good defoliation, you can get the buds exposed and they’ll be rock hard. Might not tip the scales toward a huge harvest but quality will make up for that…

Apache64 might chime in since he has grown this strain himself, and he is a wealth of knowledge…

I think you and I are at the point of providing optimal environments for our plants - the rest is genetics…

Yeah Bike 247, Strawberry Nuggets was some of Mephisto's most disappointing stuff when I ran it a few years back. I ran four plants and two were so small it was like a less than an ounce per plant after struggling to get the secondary bud sites to try and do anything. The other two I defoliated early on in veg to get the giant fan leaves out of the way so the secondary sites could grow during veg. One stalled and didn't do very well throughout the grow and the other took to it well and produced about 2.5 ounces. The smoke is really good but yield is horrible. Yours look really nice and frosty. I'd say the grow went pretty well as far as what you had control over. Your double grape is amazing, so I'd chalk this one up to the strains limitations mainly.
Have you figured out what your DLI is with the amount of light you're running? I don't see any sign of light stress like bleaching, canoeing leaves etc but sometimes with my indica plants I notice they tend to stack really short nodes the more intense the light in veg. The only thing I could think is in veg/early flower stretch maybe less light could help by helping them stretch a little then hit them with more as stretch finishes. We all tend to push our autos at crazy light levels in flower but I've found a little less in veg helps them stretch a little bit and give me some better frame size depending on the strain. The purer indica autos at 20/4 or 18/6 flowering cycles don't need a high ppfd of 800-1000 like a photo period.

Thanks for the thoughts, comments, and compliments.

Glad to hear the double grape was good. I got some criticism for it versus my previous run of blue mystic but I think it was from before I’d call it fully cured, or maybe just a malcontent

This is one I won’t run again. I actually didn’t use my lights at their fullest until about 4 weeks in. And then left for a work trip and forgot I had turned them way down during a watering and didn’t turn them up. I’m seeing a little nutrient burn on some of the leaf tips and am running 20/4 cycle. I have considered dialing it back to 18/6.

I have heavily defoliated three times and may consider a fourth. I also have some larf despite plenty of light. Oh well, live and learn. I’ll be fine because I’m still sitting on 14-18 oz overall And don’t consume it very much personally.

I may try out a clone or two indoors over summer or the next grow. I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of LST and want to have plenty of veg time to experiment. Inside seems perfect for that while autos run outside.

It sounds like you did everything you could then for sure. They were runts for me especially compared to hubba bubba smelloscope which was huge. I have a bunch of photos in veg now from clones I got from Dookie Farms. If you want to get clones he's a great guy to buy from. Legit cuts and clean from bugs. Then I'll probably run Nite Blood from Magic and an Anvil from Gnome Automatics for an auto run.
