Fox Farms Nutes

This is my first grow and it’s indoor. I think I have a pretty solid setup from watching plenty of videos and reading what people have found by trial and error.

I’m really curious how you all think my grow is going. I had a little trouble after first with sagging leaves when I had my first 2 true leaves.

First feeding was 4 days ago and I just fed her again with 1ml CalMag, 1ml Big Grow, 1ml Big Bloom.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY COMMENTS!!

Here is what grow light I’m using, it’s about 30”-32”from the top of the plant

Looks like it's on the right track, I'm not familiar with fox farm, are you suppose to be feeding the bloom yet ?

I’ve followed a lot of threads pertaining to Fox Farms feed schedule and at first I thought the same thing that you said about should I be using bloom. Hopefully I didn’t screw myself over since I’m only growing a single plant.

Anyone have any personal experience or know that I’m on the right track with using these nutes?I’m using 1/2 of what it calls for, and the first feed was 1/4 bites. Thanks!!!

Theres some great growers here that will pipe up soon I'm sure. I have only learnt and grown with coco so soil is beyond me, but looking at the schedule it looks like you've done the right thing imo. what soil do you have ? Just want to make sure it's not full of nutrients and you're over doing it with further nutrients

i wish I had ordered the Fox Farms soil earlier but I was eager to get growing...my next grow will be with a cannabis specific soil. I used a low nutrient organic soil from Home Depot. Not miracle grow..couldn’t tell you the name though haha

Yeah man I know that eager feeling too well, autoflower can do very well with minimal nutes so keep the strength low and they will start yellowing if they need more, I think your light can come down a fair bit too

The literature should have guidance on distance but I would have that minimum 18 inches away with both veg and bloom switches on

awesome, thanks for the info. I just lowered it to 20” to be safe and see how it does the next 24 hours. Also turned on bloom as well so both veg and bloom are on.

Everything was going great until last night before the lights shut off I noticed near the base of the new leaves popping through looked slightly brown/yellow.

what could this possibly be?? Nutes I have the same 1/4 dose the other day (2 days ago) and they looked great. 1ml bloom 1ml grow 2ml cal mag FOX FARM NUTES. What should I do???

230w led on bloom and veg full spectrum light. 22” from canopy. Watered and fed 3 days ago now and just now showing signs of something....

temps w/ light on between 73-75f and w/ light off right around 70f. I have a thermostatic heater that kicks in to keep it relatively consistent temp.
Humidity fluctuates between 58rh-65rh
When running leds, go for low 80s temp. That brownish/purplish tent could be from temps. I’m not saying that’s the problem. IMO I wouldn’t stress too much about that. Plant overall looks ok. The light you have is one of the first leds I bought. Kept around 12-15 inches away with both veg/bloom on. Not a bad light. If kept lower you’ll get a slight temp change above the canopy which you need. Look for ways to bring that temp up a bit. My light on temp is 79-82 and off is around 74-75. You’ll definitely see an increase in growth speed once you get your environment locked in

Looks like you had some nice growth since Wednesday, I had that on a plant before and it just dissapeared, Could well of been the temps at the time.

Alright as soon as I get home I’m going to lower the light back down probably around 16” since it’s been up higher I don’t want to screw it up by getting so close so fast. Thanks for the fast replies and info. Feel better about it now

Yeah it’s been fun to watch it grow over the last week. It’s my first grow ever and any progress seems like Christmas morning haha. Hopefully it goes away ok it’s own like you said you’re did. All the other leaves look really healthy from what I can tell, so if it’s just those new ones shooting up maybe you’re right, just something random that will work itself out.

What can I do to get this beauty to grow taller besides a little prayer? The brown/purple color went away for the most part, it’s showing slightly on the new leaves shooting out. Just fed her yesterday 2ml Grow, 2ml Bloom, 2ml cal mag. Seems to have perked up since the droop this morning. Just seems like she isn’t growing tall like I thought it would.

It just looks saturated. Sad. Slow growing. Limp. Try only watering the width of the plant and not the whole pot until the plant gets bigger. When you water the entire pot the roots never have to search for water. You want wet/dry cycles for sure. You want the roots to expand in that pot. A soaked pot won’t all that. You’ll notice slow growth and a limp plant. Basically what you’re doing. Nutes are not that important right now anyways. Focus on letting that pot get dry and when you water just water around the plant. A little at the base and the rest just around the plant. Once that plant is wider than that pot, you could water the whole thing no prop. So my suggestion is water less. Continue giving 25% of what’s recommended for nutes.
Once that plant is established ie (pot filled with roots) it’ll be easier to maintain and not so finicky.

You fed gro and bloom.. no micro? Are you running a two or three part nute?
A little bummed with that reply, but appreciate the honesty. I don’t think she’s sad, maybe just confused wtf is going on in 2020.

Here’s a pic of what I’m using, and following a schedule from a recommended source.
I was told to not use the Tiger Bloom until later in the grow. Should I add it next time I feed??

I’ve let the pot dry out 2” down until water, but I’ll let the whole thing completely dry out this time and wait a good 5-7 days maybe.

again, per gallon I’ve put in 1ml Grow Big, 1ml Big Bloom, 2ml CalMag. Should I adjust?
