I'm gonna try it in the morning i think the weather is gonna be nice the next couple days...Last trip didn't have any luck killing a turkey but found a shit load of morels..any of you guys ever hunt morels? Also packing a shovel in the morning,found a nice spot for a few plants..

Lung shoy they choke to death
Brain shot they die , with a rifle

I had to cut ones throat when I was younger
long horrible story.But it made it that much
clearer to me that killing is not for fun or sport.
I think the brain is to small and deer are constantly moving their head,I know most times deer will react to the sound of your bow being shot and head shots just seem risky to me ...I agree if you make a perfect shot its a stone cold dead deer...I guess if your that good of a shooter you can pull it off but ijust don't feel comfortable trying it..

i can't speak for other deer but i know whitetail will jump a bow string i don't care how fast or quite your bow is
as for mine im running the best of everything i got around 1400$ in my set-up very fast very quite and i dont think i stand a chance of shooting one in the head at more than 20yrds. before it reacts.I know ive heard other deer aren't near as spooky as whitetail but whitetail are very skittish i mean a creak in your tree stand shifting your weight will make one throw his head up.
I've watched many hunting show's and seen deer at 20yrds. jump a bow string so a head shot is not a very reliable shot on a whitetail IMO.I don't hunt with rifles feel it's to easy to shoot one 200+ yrds. when they don't even know your around no sportsmanship in that for me.If you guy's ever get the chance to stick a mature whitetail do the smart thing and go for the lung's cause if you go for the head last thing you will see is your trophy running away and you don't get 2nd chances at a mature whitetail from the same spot.

They are like hunting huge turkeys. You call them right in. That one came from 3/4 of a mile away to 35 yards broadside buggling the whole time.
