we have a "farmers market" every wed. night here in the spring and summer. people bring all their locally grown fruits and vegetables and sell them right there in the street.

why not make a permit to sell pot available?

the point is:

with legal pot comes sales of pot. there is simply no way around it. there will always been a demand for weed.
You can always choose to be an outlaw
Besides the legal risk
how much do you think your weed would be worth if everyone could grow it?

my weed? you seem to have me confused with someone who can grow.

if weed were openly grown and sold it would be worth a few dollars an ounce, as it should be. it would be just like everything else sold on an open market.

your "legal to grow illegal to sell" idea is silly. it's already illegal to sell and look how much is sold. :dunce:

Not silly at all
The big problem with legalization now is the perception of "the Evil Dealer"
Take the dealer out of the collective picture
who would argue with growing your own
for your self?

BTW off topic
But I just seen Drugs inc tonight on Natgeo
Harborside was there selling 1/8ths for 30-80 a piece

Dissenting opinion. The perception problem is still one of Reefer Madness (which is about the weed itself being evil), combined with a big smattering of "well, if it's illegal, it's got to be bad for you". Most Americans see Schedule 1 and are intimidated. cn

Baby boomers
We all know someone that smokes pot, smoked pot or smoked pot ourselves
The only thing left to fear is

The evil drug dealer. Selling weed to our kids shooting up shopping malls wearing pimp clothes

My plan involves getting rid of the dealer. and come on you know if someone who cannot grow needs weed they will find a way to get it

So you want to keep it illegal for some people?

Wow, you're a really nice guy.

Im trying to get it legalized
if someone wants to break the law and sell it it's no different than now
other than I dont think cops will be going after someone selling a freind some weed

If everyone can grow it the price of an ounce will be like 20 bucks anyways

If you're not growing it, how are you going to do anything other than buy it? The only other option that I can see would assume everyone would share the stash they worked to grow, for free. How would you get weed to the patient with rheumatoid arthritis that cannot operate a pencil, much less a garden trowel? Aside from your local dealer or the hope of charity, I see no solution.

The criminal offenses attached to selling weed are a huge part of it's markup. In cali, weed is still way more than $20/oz. It's illegal to sell it in this state and legal to grow your own, yet a gram will still run you $8 for good shit, regardless of the supply.

If the patient with rheumatoid arthritis can pack a bowl
They most certainly can water a plant. And like I said. If everyone and their sister is growing the black market for weed would be 20 bucks an ounce

You can't have you in-home caretaker roll it for you? Everyone and their sister does grow in cali. Outdoor in nor cal is going for 750/lb up here, yet my local dispensary is still moving shit at $8/gram, $5/gram on promo days to be fair.

Cant edit for some reason, but my point is that CA has had the exact situation you want to put into place, yet weed is still ridiculously priced relative to your projections.

Dont you still need a medical card?
isnt there a plant count?
And finally wont time tell? I keep hearing growers complain about the drop in prices paid for their work
