Is it a xlg-h driver? In that case its normal. Constant power drivers act like that. If you measure the current and voltage you will see that its the promised 200w, so youre getting full power. The unused part of the dimmer range is if you had a slightly lower voltage fixture but it would still just give a total of 200w.

Gotcha!!! Thank you!!! If that's the case then I don't really need to have my qb288 in there,ceems like a bit of overkill in a 2x2...

As soon as he's played with it, without measuring, hes blind. eg. A xlg100 h ab of mine running on 246volts turned right up was pumping 135watts. You get more than 200 watts could get at least 240 w.

Yep, the meanwells tend to give a bit of extra power. The point i wanna make is about operation of xlgs: just turn them up until the light flickers, turn it back a bit, and thats your max output.

Figured that out... That light is ridiculously BRIGHT!!! Has my whole room lit up!!!

Now that I think about it I remember people talking about it not being dimmable. It doesn't mention being dimmable on the HLG site either.

I just did a grow in a 2x2 with a QB 288 V2 running at 80 watts that turned out very well. No, you don't need it with that Diablo in there! That one Diablo is the equivalent of 2 1/4 QB 288!

Just set up my old QB 304 pre-production boards for my son inlaw. I took them down about 6 months ago when I built my DIY 650R ( my 480R lol ). He should get a few more years out of them!

Naw,we figured it out... I was just wondering how to turn the Diablo down, and when I figured it out I don't want that now... I thought that something was wrong with the light because it flickers when you adjust it, but someone else said that it was set and I should leave it alone, so that is what I am doing... Thanks for coming through though!!!
