Seoul Semiconductor is about the only info I could get from the CSR but you might fare better sending them a message.
The pre-built lights on the site saying Rspec FR in the model numbers apparently are using the same MCPCB's like the HLG 320 Rspec FR ...

The image was on the 240w fixture page.
Thats @160w per board and including driver losses. I wouldnt run a qb that hard really. Sweet spot for a cheap board would be 60-80w.

If you call and ask sometimes they accommodate you
I've heard of others calling and asking about the promotion they missed and the CSR giving them a code or taking their orders and giving them the big discount.
I didn't have a spare hundo laying around I could just go spend or I probably would have been all over another four of them.
Once I get a few finished out I'll either change four of the twelve (V1 - 288's) out or just add them IF I'm not trying to swing too much aluminum from the chiminilly tent tubing! o_O
I won't run em that hard either - probably only around 60 w/panel.

I have pushed my diablos to 160w, but i really dont like doing it. Hot spots in the middle and general abuse of the boards make me nervous. They have held up well.
When run that high you have to keep them well above the canopy

ALL products, even parts and I'm gunna remember to grab a buncha Wago's dirt cheap next time!

If you really want to pick apart the panels a bit with the bro math (lol) you can just grab the reports for the 700 Rspec FR .
(Those might work, if not then the links are imbedded in their text.)
BTW I'm going to plan on running a pair on both ends down the middle of the 3 quads of:v1 boards for 16 at around 40-50/BD if I'm bold enough to swing that much heatsinks!

Building that light yourself with all the parts through hlg, driver $140, 4 panels $140, 2 slate triples $70, its 350.
Not a bad deal for a 600w fixture.

I am in it for more than that with my 2 panel 320w diablo

You miss out on the reflectors and full HLG after sales package (i dont hink they give the same warranty on diy components). Also if i dont know how DIY lights fare with fire inspections and such for a legal grow. But still pretty good.

In any case id probably rather splurge on another 2 boards and a sink for a 600w light and get something comparable to the r-spec scorpion, maybe with 3x240 drivers instead. 150w boards seems a bit excessive.

I run mine that high at times on slate 2 singles. Two boards on a triple would be better but its been 3 years now without any issues.
I do hear what you're saying though. They get fairly hot and probably arent super efficient at that level

Not that I would, they say you can run the MCPCB at under 55w without a sink.

The 550/600/650 type fixtures are around 21" * 23" IIRC and it's built on ¼” (6mm) plate. I went with the Slate 2 doubles for the QB272 Rspec FR because I think they were $18.75 each whereas the singles were more expensive to buy four instead of a pair for four boards but cool each board slightly better.

If you have horizontal room I've seen pictures of people using full sized aluminum sheet pans for the sinks and the surface area is great enough to probably work well with the reduced drive current and not needing active cooling.

Slate 2 is the model number as I believe there was a Slate (original) and a slate 3 which I don't believe was around long, not sure though.
The reason you don't see many people driving the Diablo boards as hard as the ratings is they are bottled up by the thermal limitations of the heatsink.
If weight wasn't a problem I would recommend a similar size ¼” plate with the Slate 2 single heatsinks bolted to it.
Then you could really pound out the photons!

It really doesnt work that way.
The slate 2 dissipates heat very quickly, more so if you have good air movement in your space. The 1/4" aluminum plate would actually make the panels hotter than without. I know it doesnt sound right, but the limitation is the surface area on slate 2.
It doesnt magically dissipate more heat because there is more aluminum there.

I did use thermal adhesive pads between the sinks and boards because i was planning on running them hard. The slate 2's arent super flat so it's not 100% contact there without some kind of thermal product to fill the gaps
