DIY with Quantum Boards

already sold out! unless they just haven't added inventory levels to it yet. also looks like same dimensions as a QB288 so the slate heatsinks should work for these too I am guessing?

Yeah, I'm very surprised by the dimensions. I did NOT expect them to be that small. By the numbers, this should max around 280 watts, but it would be kind of silly to run them anywhere near that - so much juice in a small area. But running it at the typical QB288 wattage makes this an efficiency BOSS.

So this is a high-end product and is priced as such. Seems like it's intended for those who want the most efficient boards they can find (without going to China).

Oh, and I'm firming my prediction for the 320 kit at two boards. We'll see...

Green love : Gotham Limited ( Trainwreck x 79 Xmas bud )

QB96s with Agromax Pure Par / UV dual T5HO rigs ( 370 watts currently )

12/12 cycle ( pure par / uv run at 4 point cycle ( every 3rd hour )
Medium : Layered FFOF / EB Stone / EWC / Myco / Kelp meal
Water : Tap ( 6.7 ) - Ph crystals ( Alaska )
Topdress : FFOF one week ago with kelp meal and 1 tsp if extra humic acid to aid in uptake and resistance to hydrophobic issues ( at transition )
LST / Minor Defol
3 gallon

I find staring at plants calming over being house isolated. Plants are pretty uniform in size and are stretching a bit .
Budsites are setting up and plant Is drinking well. Approximately every 2-3 days . Kelp was added for simple flowering needs over
heavy synth boosters. Plants have expressed a piney / spice smell ( pine tar kush ) and is getting its Xmas tree shape. The 79 Xmas bud was a private Hazeman cut that was crossed with Trainwreck by ( icemudsgrows ) and offered to me , so I jumped on that drop.

The shorty plant is a Hazeman KKP ( KING KONG POISON ) - Durban Poison x GG4 ..... it was vegged only for about 2 weeks then flipped in this tent ( only because I’m shutting down temporarily ) until chaos settles down ... I have plenty of reserves to consume for awhile .... benefit of perpetual growing I guess. Work dried up and now I’m a full time indoor farmer . So once , I know what the next few months are gonna be I will pump the brakes on new grows. And possibly build a new rig or reconfigure this one , and have yet to run that HLG 225 I picked up last month.

Keep safe out there and positive vibes sent out to all....... Stay high and healthy.

Trying to keep busy so I got some QBs out of storage ( yah I'm a QB hoarder.....lol ) and built a new light for one of my cabinets. I put 2, QB 288 v2 on a slate double and made a very simple frame ( just 2 rails ). I screwed 2 pieces of wood to the sides of the cabinet for the rails to rest on. If I need to raise the light a bit, I can simply slip a block of wood under each end on the shelves.
For a driver I bought a 185H-54. I turned it down to 150 watts and may go lower with it, we'll see.
The cab is 30" tall, 34" wide, and 20" deep. Out of sheer boredom, I've started a multi-strain grow in small containers. I couple are photo periods that will be moved and transplanted in lager pots in a tent. The rest are all autos. I'm growing Dolly Dragon ( Big Bud x Duurty Dragon ) , Dragon's Blood, Blueberry Ghost OG, and an Amnesia x Black Domina cross. Yep, it's going to be interesting.......... I don't care about harvest. I'll enjoy the struggle to manage disparate growth across strains. i may or may not do plant training, we'll see.
Pots are cottage cheese containers. i use these as starter pots, the plant and soil slip out easily when transplanting and are just shy of a quart (1L ).

i'll be feeding Megacrop start to finish.

I moved the Humboldt Trainwreck to a tent and transplanted her into a 2 gallon pot. i'll take clones when she's big enough. For now, she'll stay here under a QB 324 running at 130 watts. She's growing in soil and I fed her Megacrop 2.0 today, 450 ppm at 6.5 ph.

Ive got a 6 board qb 288 v2 r spec light and i just bought 2 more boards to fill up the hlg320-54 drivers i have. What way would you mount the 2 extra boards? Space them all evenly in 2 rows, or put the 2 boards in the center?

Your absolute best option is almost what you've got layer out on your first drawing.
But if you want truly even spread, your middle 2 rows have to be spaced a bit further apart and the outer two need to be about 2/3 the distance of the center rows.

Ive seen people do it this way, but other people not. I usue greengenes for a mid3el for alot of my stuff, abd he does equal spacing. Is there a writeup or a quick explanation you could give me to explain why that spacing works better?

Because in every ppfd and Par testing you ever see with equal spacing, it falls off at the ends.

But the ends of my qbs are the approx edge of my growspace. I could see that if my fixture was smaller, would it still hold the same? My fixture is about 42 inches wide for a 4 foot table.

It applies even if you had a 48" wide fixture. It's because of the crossover effect from the individual boards/strips.

What size space you going to light with them? do you realize that by diode count those 4 are equivalent to NINE QB 288! that's a PPFD of hell guessing, 2000+! Using the 288 specs I estimate 260,000 L/W and at 75 watts per board the μmoles/joule is 2.7.

anyway you look at it this is going to be a killer light!

Just ordered 4 of the 648 diablo boards would the inventronics EUD-600S280DT that comes with the DIY qb288v2 4 board kit work for these boards as well?

Ordered a 4x4 gorilla tent going to get a dimmer also in case I need to dim it down some. It will be my first grow and just been researching and figured at full power would be around 38 watts a sq ft I may be mistaken completely new just mainly been researching here.
