DIY with Quantum Boards

A 650R will flower a 5x5 with no problem. A Scorpion Diablo would too! Running QB 288 V2s I'd run 6 for sure.

If you are going with QB boards my recommendation is to put SIX of them in a 5x5 and ignore all the people that say four is just fine.

Yep, an HLG320H-C2800 I ran 4 QB304 in parallel on it. Pulled 360 watts from the wall so about 85 watts per board. If you wanted to drive them harder, a pair of HLG240H-C2100, with the boards wired in parallel would give you 115-120 watts per board.

Got the driver to go with them??? That's where my bad luck comes into play!!!

I bought four Gavita 1700e's but still have my two 4-board qb288s rocking in the nursery. Each pulls 480w at the wall and I had all 8 boards dimmed in a 5x5 lab tent for a while. They are super efficient dimmed down to about 75%

HLG is not releasing the LED info at this time. I didn't ask but I suspect it's to give them some time before the cheap knockoffs claim they have the same LEDs
Do you mean they're not the same diodes as in the previous version? They're not Samsung, or not the same model of Samsung? Maybe this falls under the category of "you don't know, yet".
