Doesn't get any simpler than this

You could get a few cans of truck bed liner spray, that shits tough as nails turn that plywood into plastic! I’ve never done it but it sounds like a good idea.

also congrats on new light I’m sure they will love it.
Sounds like a great idea! I might get a can of Flex Seal and use that. But still, the water is never in contact with the wood at all; it's protected by the thick plastic barrier.

I'll be getting an SF 60 x 60 x 80 tent especially for this. I'm going to leave the other grow room as is; I may just use it as a nursery / veg room. Sorry about your health problems; I'm retired Navy! :)
Petty officer 1st class USN here all desert deployments.

Thanks for sharing the photos, very interesting!

How often do you change the nutes? Is sanitation required?
I changed out the veg nutes with bloom nutes. Everything looks great, no bugs or diseases. I have a few crispy edges because I let the water level get a little low so the PH got a little high. Easy fix.

Warning - more unpainted plywood

I’m apparently pretty bad at watering so I’ve been messing around with different methods of auto watering, this is working great it appears so far and simple as sticking a hole in a pot and putting a string in it. Have one hooked up to a solo cup, working great also.

my plants were looking pretty bad yesterday and much better today (pics from yesterday),

you can also have res far below, capillary action will bring it up.

Once my tent gets here I will be setting it up to a auto pot base with 10 gallon+ res.

I'm not a great grower or anything, but anyone interested in this method can check my grow journal in a couple weeks to see how its working out.

got some tubing coming to prevent evaporation from the wick, I think that could mess with the ec
