Wow, thanks for the kind words.
I agree. Nothing is perfect and we are dealing with mother nature so we have to keep that in mind.

UHP is looking very nice and its really putting on the weight already.

well not by my first online search.."in house genetics"=many hermi's

and there were way more complaints about i house genetics

i have friend trying a few of their seeds..not sure how he is doing yet

this is why i would rather not do the new cool seed co's

they are prone to hermi's and people still brag about them..

i am sure people must have selected clones from the non hermi's

this is it not rare..it happens way more with most of the new co's

quote:

am not too please with inhouse either. got some slurricane and most ... saw him mention that the herm issue will typically sort themselves out ...

drgruber..i did one single search on one of the next new great seed companys "in house genetics" because of a post here

and the results were piles of complaints..

Docs genetics you are growing are way more stable than that..

UHP will be awesome..

and despite all the difficulties life throws at you you still persevere with a kind heart

..ok thats enough from me

Haven't read the whole thread but, in my experience, Dr. Greenthumb's seeds are always big, healthy, and fully mature. That's more than I can say for 90% of the "breeders" out there. I haven't run any of his stuff in a long time, but never had any germination issues.

The real G13 has no purple but his has purple not a lot but its on every plant. Its dam good weed but not even close to the real g13,just thought I would tell people THE TRUTH.

The "real G13" is 90% marketing myth. Dr. Greenthumb's G13 came from dogless (Jim Ortega), who has held it since the 1980s. This from Ortega himself. If you don't know who he is, look him up. I've seen enough of your posts to know that you two knuckleheads are alt accounts for the same guy and that you've probably never grown a plant in your life. What thrill do you get from speaking from a "position of authority" on subjects that you know absolutely nothing about?

Assuming you're not full of shit, kyfarmer/hillbill, and you DO have actual experience with "G13", I would assume that you've come across the Airborne cut, which is (by far) the most heavily-circulated. It is G13 X NL#2, but is almost always passed as G13.

Because of the fact that I had an 95% failure rate on popping his seeds; there was no need to have his strains tested as I was only able to get 1 seed to pop "Oh Zone" and it was an absolutely worthless strain at harvest. I grew 2 strains around it that I have 100% germination for both of the additional strains. The other two strains were great at harvest. I will stick to virtually all other strains. Dr Greenthumb gear is dead to me.

Chem #4
1 of 10 grew

Bubba Kush
1 of 8 grew

Ecsd
2 out of 2 so far grew
Many cracked seeds in this pack.

Csi humbolft seeds germinated the same time had close to 100% germination.
Funny thing is many of the chem 4 seeds popped tails before stalling out and dying.
I think docs fridge is acting up or something.
But I must say the Ecsd I kept is very vigorous and potent and the chem 4 is very stinky stuff. Strictly complaining about germ rates here.

i guess things can happen germing
i just fucked up some with too much water and none of them were doc's..
.i haven't done that for years..i was pissed with myself.
i know doc tests his seeds monthly..and doesn't like to have problems
sometimes he replaces seeds when he was not at fault..but i think its how he gets treated that makes him do or not do it
..my chemdawg sprouted last month..
but yeh there are a million seed co's now..especially usa...

Thumper..
you might be surprised with the number of Turkish Cookies clones starting to circulate..eastern usa/west cost usa...even hawaii..

.....that variety is so good... its nuts

other than that i generally just try to fiond gold in heirloom sativas

when i hit a good one i save it..

When I tried to pop his seeds I had two other strains working at the same time. All of the other strains popped just fine. Had only one of his pop. And that was one Oh Zone. At harvest it wasn't a strain I would grow again. I did reach out to him by phone and email. I got zero response. If you base your business on how folks talk to you, your business won't last long. Especially now that legalization has dramatically increased the number of folks selling good strain seeds.

I have been off the scene. For I would say about two years. But what I what I will say. Is I trust. Dr. Grubber and old mother sativa. Throughout my years we've all bought from dr. Greenthumb and had great success. Have I ever had any seeds that maybe did not Sprout? I'm sure over the years I did. I'm sure that didn't just start happening. But as one of them said that's Mother Nature it happens. I know we're over 20 years. I've been in marijuana. Connoisseur and I must say his genetics are pretty Elite. Especially the chemdawg the Bubba OG And I'm anxious. To try his Turkish cookies as well as WiFi I've never had a problem with him. I've had conversations with him on the phone and he's explained lineages. Why certain things cost more than others breeders processes and things of this nature? Is he a little anal? Probably but that comes along with being in any business and you hear foolish questions or people that are trying to scam free things from him. And these types of things so it does wear on your mental and your patience.

So first let me say I have only grown about 12 different strains. I average roughly 98% success germinating seeds.
So I did some research on Dr Greenthumb seeds and decided to give it try. I was extremely excited to try 2 strains specifically Oh Zone and Headband. So I ordered them. Their seeds are more expensive than average but suppose to be very high quality. It took 28 days to receive my order. The order came with specific instructions on how to germinate their seeds. So I followed the directions to a tea which is not the way I normally germinate. I tried 3 seeds using their method. All three failed. I tried three more using their exact method and only one popped. I tried 2 more using my method and had 1 pop. So far out of 8 seeds "4 of each strain," only 2 popped. Not very good odds at all. If I continue to have this type of results with the remaining seeds they will have costed me $150 per successful seed. I emailed Dr Greenthumb three times and my emails were returned to sender. So out of 15 seeds from that single order there are 7 left. Wonder what the odds are that the remaining 7 all pop?....Zero!

I must say I am extremely frustrated as I have never experienced such a high failure rate of seeds ordered before. Has anyone else had issues with their seeds? I am going to write a letter along with the remaining seeds and send them back requesting fresh seeds or money back. I think we all know how that will turn out. That is why I am posting this. Beware, I hope you have better luck than I have with Dr Greenthumb products. I will update this thread at a later date if I hear from them.
I ordered ATF from Dr. Greenthumb and out of 12 seeds not one even cracked. I've never had that happen and I've been growing for 22 years
I used a heating pad and everything was on point. It was the seeds not me. I emailed him and he sent me a picture of sprouted seeds that he said he did over the weekend. Lol... What good does that do me? They 100 percent not the same seeds if they sprouted! That's awful business and it's just rude to send sterile seeds and take my money for them. Then to top it off with a big fuck you by sending me pictures of sprouted seeds. I have the right mind to drive to Canada and pay Mr. Rippoff a visit. I wonder if they will sprout if I stick the bunk seeds up his ass?

They are legit. Maybe pricey but legit. Learn how to germ seeds. Never ever had a problem with doc's seeds. Been buying doc's seeds since 1990. Bubba and iranian autoflower were my first. IMO Bubba's the best smoke in the world. Iranian is excellent but mold might be a problem outdoors. Anyways never ever had a problem with spouting unless it was human error. The temp has to be warm. Buy a heat mat with a thermostat and a propagation tray with a dome. Paper towels in a bag seems to be my best method. I have tried directly in soil didn't work as good. I use a full paper towel. Full paper towels are getting hard to find. Use a full paper towel folded four times. I only start one or two seeds at a time. Mist the paper towel with a spray bottle of water then wring it out. Place seeds on top of paper towel. Then fold another paper towel the same way spray and wring it out and place it on top. Then place it in a ziploc baggie with a bubble of air in it.Then place it in a starter dome with the bottom covered with water and There should be some sort of liner for jiffy's or something so there is space between the water and the bag. I keep my thermostat set at 85 degrees. I hope this helps and it works for me. Peace.
