Oh ya, your set. Shotgun approach, you got a quick turnaround and it made me curious. Thanks for the reply! I like Aquashield, works great and is cheaper than the competition. Seems that pond enzyme is really potent mojo too!
It's hard not to use the boosters, especially if you have them. It's like you said before, if they already have what they want and are healthy what will you gain from putting more of it? I have forgotten them by now but there's a bill worth of ff trio collecting dust on my shelf that says it can be done lol
Potentially some burn, maybe a 5-10% increase to yield and potentially +/- 5% finish time depending on if they burn and stress or thrive and finish early. The result will be "hotter" on the palate too.
Anyhow, nice grow I'm subbed

Four weeks from pistil... not much new really going on as far as the grow.

This time I just used DG Bloom and a little cal/mag because of a rust spot on a leaf. No hydroplex, no grow. I wanted to cut down on N cuz I think they are getting too much. Aquashield & Pondzyme for benes.

I got my 60x - 100x pocket microscope... just ordered a 30x loupe tonight for $3.55 shipped. My 3 grandaddy purps and freebie fem world of seeds NL x Skunk arrived today from Attitude.

I've been out of weed for a few days, so I decided to take a sample tonight. Took a bowl from a side branch and dried it (and the trim) in the oven at 200* F for 30 minutes or so. Trichs were pretty much clear, a couple milky. First I smoked 3 hits of leaves and it got me stoned enough that I set the bowl down for a min. Then I smoked a bowl. It got me high; put me in a good mood. Was good for about 30 minutes and then started tapering off.

It also probably helped that I did it within a day of noticing the roots turning brown.

I'm so thoughtful, here is something for you to listen to while you smoke a bowl and read the thread.

6 1/2 weeks from pistil, about 2 weeks to go on 3 of the plants' main colas. Trichs are maybe 40% cloudy; yield is looking average, maybe a little less... partially due to these phenos have no branching, partially because two plants were flowered small. I didn't really get flowering dialed in until about 2 or 3 weeks in though. The 11 fingered sativa doesn't have much weight on her. Need to go light with the N also... mine have super dark leaves. I started feeding DG Bloom only with cal-mag (has some N) a few weeks ago. Lots of foxtailing... I guess it's an undesirable trait, but my girlfriend loves it and thinks it's cute.

This is one of the small ones that I showed the roots in last couple posts. This plant is now our favorite so far... it is the most resinous frosty looking indica dom in the garden.

hey mal.these finsihed now are they?

i dont know why anyone would say foxtailing is an undesirable trait. its a perfectly normal part of a bud in my opinion. in fact i would go as far as to say i like them.

there is a difference between a bud that throws a few foxtails and a plant that is foxtailing from heat stress or something like that though. yours look perfectly fine and in fact look very similar to mine.

Foxtails are from excess or feeding to much N during late bloom! This new growth will be premie
compared to the rest of the bud.

some folks like the extra weight gain but im not into premachure weed

i agree that some foxtailing can be caused by stress. heat stress and light stress in particular cause foxtailing of the bad variety. its horrible i have experienced it and leanred from that.

to say that foxtailing is always bad though is so very wrong. i am a sativa lover, hazes in particular and i can tell you some sativas will grow buds that just look like big long foxtails. single strings of single calyxs stacked one upon the other. its not caused by anything bad its just the way those buds grow and i think certain hybrids can show thicker bud structure that taper out into foxtails naturally. i often see it in my buds and get excited because to me it represents a good strong sativa influence in the smoke.

dream lotus definitely falls into this category. and i have 2 seperate pheno's one which looks just like mals, with a thicker bud structure but a few short tails on the ends and another pheno which has the classic sativa bud structure i am speaking of. real thin pointy sativa strings of buds.

i think if your going to pass on a strain because it foxtails then your missing out in my opinion. afghan haze by mr nice is one of my all time favourite smokes and i can tell you she tails up like no other.

I agree with the lacking smoke report, but good report over-all with lots of info on treating root rot and other valuable stuff. Thanks.

I harvested a couple weeks ago; it has been curing. Flowered for 9 weeks but they could have gone another week. I was in a hurry to get the next grow started since I only grew enough dream lotus to last 6-8 weeks between the two of us smoking it. This was my second grow and I had a few problems.... I'm sure it can be done better... esp as far as yield goes.

Currently getting super lemon haze, pineapple express, and grandaddy purple started. Using the 8" net baskets that snap on to the lid of a 5g bucket. That and vegging longer with lst hoping for way more roots and tops.

Here is a copy/paste smoke report I wrote in another thread:

It's potent, but not the strongest weed I've ever smoked (I had some OG Kush I couldn't build a tolerance to and it could put me to sleep in the middle of the day)... def above average and among some of the strongest I've had.

Taste and smell is excellent... bodhi's description is probably pretty close in a vaporizer. I'm not good at describing smell/flavor, but they make me think of colors and things... and mostly dream lotus tastes like blue, clean, and light. There are other contrasting darker flavors in there too, and the rare (for me) citrus beach flavor.

I did notice my girlfriend was taking bong rips one morning, and the smoke she exhaled smelled good as fuck... a lot of citrus; it reminded me of orange and beach. Was really not expecting such a strong orange citrus smell out of nowhere and it took me by surprise. The smell and taste was very faint when I took a hit, but I could clearly and strongly smell it when she exhaled. So far it has just been one bowl I've noticed that out of about 2 ounces smoked so far. She has mentioned a citrus flavor before but I had never noticed it and figured she was just stoned wishing it tasted like oranges. Mine didn't smell much in flower.

The high is a good hybrid... puts me in a good mood and extremely chill... a bit of a mellow body stone; not too motivating. Smoking with low tolerance, the come-down was pretty indica/heavy/narcotic. With high tolerance there is no comedown cuz you never come down. Been smoking it for about a month and it still gets me good and stoned in a vaporizer topped off with a few bong rips.

I had the snow lotus pheno and the other 3 were blue dream. One was very sativa; 11 pencil thin fingers, low yield. Others were average yield for their size. Overall... dream lotus is medicinal grade dank.

i just got one of those reinforced 66, can someone please explain the purpose of a larger air pump and larger air disk? It'd be very appreciated, thanks.

I don't know what you mean by reinforced 66. A larger air pump would give you more bubbles in your bucket which would make more nutrient spray on the roots and net basket at the surface of the water. A larger air stone would increase the surface area of the bubbles. In theory, many finer air bubbles are better than fewer large bubbles.

In reality, people that have bought expensive dissolved oxygen measuring equipment pretty much say it's easy to reach the dissolved oxygen limit in DWC with a decent average air pump and small $1 air stones from walmart. I believe the standard recommendation is 1L per min of air for every gallon of water. Or it could be 1 watt per gallon, I forget. In either case, get a commercial air pump and you should be able to reach the dissolved oxygen limit no problem from what I've read.

I had 2 plants this grow show signs of drowning because they weren't getting enough bubbles. I had long lengths of air line and they were different lengths causing some buckets to get less bubbles than others.

animals as leaders were fat. Thank you for that.

Ps, if that hose is your vape-hose, maybe its time for a little cleaning? :)
Good honest grow journal, no fanboy-bias. Thank you for that aswell.
