Indeed...! opposite for me I just can’t keep in the green on the vpd chart at higher temps, its been impossible so far to raise humidity running ac.
I don't think there is a trade off running led at higher temp. The reason you can run a higher room temp is that the IR isn't going crazy and warming the leaf surface. I wonder what the difference would be in actual leaf temp from an optimized led grow and an optimized conventional grow. My nonscientific gut is betting they'd be about the same. There has to be someone whos tested that......
Im betting different strains, sativas versus indicas play a role as they originally came from diff enviros. More variables

On both plants and cure, it’s not always intuitive. Theoretically cooler air holds less moisture (so could dry faster) and vice versa, but lots of variables (trigger points, exhaust fan/dehumid rates, airflow, sensor quality, temp/humid stratification, etc.).

I’m currently backing down rh as transpiration increases in mid-flower (currently aiming for 1.3 on http://www.just4growers.com/media/23631/vpd_2degree.gif), not straightforward - and i’m using digital controllers.

Scares the bejesus out of me, but plenty of microleafage if they and the lights are up to it.

Will decide what to do on other two based on how these look in next day or two.

Day 35 of ?84?: Plants adding trichs at boosted rate but uv doing damage, even after backing off to 1 hour exposure. especially on “diesels” and defols.

Look at those trichs (less than 1 week since became apparent), but also look at pistil and leaf damage. Also, appears that uv has an amazing penetration capability, cuz seeing similar (somewhat lighter) damage all the way down to bottom leaves/flowers.

Shutting off uv, for now, for two reasons: gotta reduce stress on defols until they recover; hate flying blind, uv meter on its way.

Despite uv damage, plants transpiring at same rate (higher for undefols), topped with runrate water levels this morning.

Ppfd ~1050, all controlled variables in range.

I would not turn it completely off. They need to get used to it. When the "switch to defense mode" is done they should grow normal again. Maybe with only 15 mins a day or even farther away until they bounce back.

If i hadn’t extremely defol’d, your approach would be my way. But the defols only have juvenile leaves, and the plants have obviously committed to reproduction (not in foliage generation mode anymore,). So the recovery of these plants gets priority.

Next time i’ll have some quantitative measures to index against.

I understand i will have to go through this again.

Yeah, maybe you start next time earlier in veg to give them enough time to get used to it. This way you would not see such irritations and in bloom they can withstand a higher UVB dose easily. It's like when you put a young seedling from an indoor enviroment to outdoors in summer. They need a few days in the shade to fully acclimate to sun light.
440μW/cm² and more is typically found in 2000m above 0; around mexico city for instance.
The shit is that it's already so late that there is no vegetative growth anymore. Maybe mount the bulb directly under the ceiling so that the most of the UV is absorbed before it hits the plant.

i told you i have fried plants before, and i have the 2ft bulb. that is why starting from veg is best, introducing only in flower freaks them out, as if you placed them outside under the big hid. i need to find out the numerical amount of uv on the index that is rated as "too high". but like @Randomblame said "keep going", although some others dont believe in using uvb, i know it works, it works scarily good in fact, but it will age a plant fast. i also never defoliate when using it in flower, no fan leaves to protect the buds, and soak up the radiation.
