Day 56 of ?84?: lost almost full day of lightson today, must have had a brown out overnight that shut something down in the tent, which cascaded to shutting my light contoller down. Had to reset it throughout the day, long story short, back fan on floor was off, and controller’s emergency temp sensor (in tent) kept hitting shutdown temp becuz of it. Couldn’t figure it out sooner cuz airtemp in tent was low 70’s, but as lights heated up the Emerson bd drivers near sensor rose to ~100F, and without the slight breeze from the oscillating fan 9 ft away, the sensor would trigger. What a pain!

Ppfd ~1050 (for about 2 hrs), contolled variables in range (now).

Thx

Figuring it out was harder on me than them...i think....
I feel ya, went rounds with a pump in the fish system this summer, turned out the pump was fine and a line had clogged. Meanwhile the water temps were climbing as it was mid summer and the fish were showing it. After that I added a pump just for redundancy.
Would one of those emergency battery systems have enough juice to protect from outages I wonder? I do music and have one for the recording pc. Got that after a three hour session was wasted by a power outage, also taught me to save more often lol. Really I just needed to be able to save work regardless of electrical service.

Seems so simple when you finally figure it out...

Breaking out the uvb meter to test my glasses, 2’ arcadia t5 reptile lights, and 4’ agromax t5 uva-b lights.

So @Randomblame here’s what i got at 18” above tallest mains, which is where my main lights are:

2x 24” arcadia 12%: ~45 uW/cm sq

2x 24” agromax uva-b: ~180

1x 48” agromax uva-b: ~ 440

Think i’ll start with the 2x 24” agromax 15mins beginning and end of lightson, what do you think? Should i switch to 48” at some point?

I was surprised about agromax 2x24” vs 48”. The 2x 24 agromax were used on one other grow during last 2 weeks, but that seems a big uW loss for 1 short use, maybe has to do with fixture?
