Autobotz is breaking soil as we speak, so I guess it’s time to rip him out:( Which is harder to do than I thought it would be:cry: (now through the beginning of flowering is my favorite stage in cannabis plants)View attachment 4865267
I picked up one of these Kratky growing jars. I like 2 liter hempys, so this could be a easy way for a small plant and not need to water 2x a day. How fast does she suck up all the water right now? Coco?

As far as keeping them small, it shouldn’t be too hard considering the container size we’re keeping the root zones small. I wouldn’t image them getting too big, however definetly bigger than a solo cup of dirt! As always LST is your friend :leaf:

You could get the kit here on Amazon
Ball 1440016021 Self-Watering Herb Growing Kit, Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NW8GHW5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RJZ0ZZMV85HK171Z6FGR
Or if you want to use a solo cup what I would do is fill the solo cup up with perlite and poke a hole maybe a quarter to a half inch up (think hempy) I would obviously poke a hole in the cup before putting in the perlite.
Ok I'll look into that, but what about technique? Is there a thread on how to do it as far as training, lighting, schedules?

Ok, do you use lower wattage lights? Hydro nutes?

He’s only drinking 1.5oz a day right now, so not much at all! He’s in straight perlite right now, however I’m starting Autobotz out in a rapid rooter which I’m pretty sure is straight peat then I’m just gonna put in the net pot & cover with either perlite or coco. I’m leaning perlite @ the moment

I don't ever papertowl germ. I go straight into coco. I guess I'll just do the top half of netpot coco and the bottom half with perlite. You fill it 1x a day than? I'll star a seed next week since it says April 5th delivery.

Auto’s require the same amount of light as photo’s. Hydro nutes would definitely make it easier however you could definitely go organic. However it would be super challenging considering the container size. The general rule of thumb for autos is 50% strength for the nutes compared to photo. Yes there is a thread specifically for hempy & growing in small containers. I’ll see if I can find the hempy thread & link it

Just start a little coco plug & transplant it in then surround it by perlite.
I have just been filling it up once a week for now with salt based nutes, and have only been filling it up about 1/4 to a 1/2 way up

So 18/6?

Do you think the plants will stretch less on 24/0 vs 20/4?
That’s my reasoning behind why I start with 24/0 & cut back to 20/4 or 18/6 towards end of Veg. So far it has been working. If you really wanted to control stretch @ the beginning of Veg & beginning of flower I would blast them with 6000K up until the initiation of flower then move the spectrum to 3000k or 3500k until finish

This is the longest I’ve ever had an auto take to germinate  The anticipation is killing me:wink: Let’s hope that she’s (wishful thinking since they’re autoflower Regs) just a slow starter:weed:

You can tell I was board yesterday:p
