personally i would cut it to squares to allow better growth
Yea, i can't wait to see how well they do. How long have they been flowering now? And it was mentioned earlier about light not being needed under the screen. Only when the screen has filled completely is the light not needed under the screen. But at the beginning of the flowering you would want as much light as you can get under the screen so it will help promote new growth. By the time all the stretching is done in the first few weeks of flowering, the new growth can just poke up through the screen. I am really stoned right now so i dint know if i said all that right. I just got done rebuilding in my grow room and i just built my screen that is shaped like a half pipe. So all the buds will be exactly the same distance from the light. I am only using a 250w HPS in a cooltube so i can get the light real close to the plants. I am gowing to put 4 plants under the screen in about a week or so. I just want to get the biggest yeild possible with the 250w. This will let me know if i should move up to a 400w or just get another 250w and do another grow exactly the same just a month apart. I will post a pic tonight of my setup if you want.
Man you really should ditch the whole milk crate idea, just use chicken wire. When its time to crop and dry out your weed, what are you gonna do? Just start ripping it out or cutting the crate or bud appart while wet? It would get mangled.
Chicken wire keeps the main leafs under while letting light through to them and letting your buds get big, and when you finish, you cut away the chicken wire quite easily. That crate is too dark inside, your plants would seriously love getting out of that thing.
Might wanna do a little more research on scrog.
