That's all well and good for a hobbyists tent grower with a couple of plants. Can check them all daily, it's a different situation commercially. Most Won't catch it till flower due to high plant counts, iso is useless as a preventative.

not worth risking a solvent based miticide when you have safer alternatives(horti oil) that will let you limp to the finish without flagging.

Iso definitely isn't an option in flower, by then it's too late and the best you can aim for is damage control. I think I already said that in my original post, if not then yes, it's out of the question in peak flower where you wouldn't want to be spraying buds with anything at all, including horti oil.

I disagree that Iso isn't a preventative. It's a preventative in as much as it can eliminate them completely. The best prevention is to clean them out of the grow area completely. Iso will help you do this.

I also disagree about the application of commercial op practices to a grow of this size. To me this isn't a large scale commercial op. It's a big grow, but it's not many meters or floor space of plants to check. It's not a large greenhouse environment.

Mites don't crawl to the centre of a space then take hold, there'll be signs of damage on the outer plants before any others if they're coming in from outside. If you're thorough in your checks you can definitely spot mite damage in a grow this size, it's one of the most easy signs to spot in cannabis growing and you should definitely not be missing it until flower if they're in there from veg.

Unless the building's in the middle of a field or a load of vegetation, most likely way they get in in the first place is on you. If there's any webbing on any plants you brush past, you've got mites on you. If you go into your room without a change of clothes and a spray down, they're in.

Thanks man. And yeah 10 is what I was aiming for. Some of them are still a bit fluffy so I’ll probably delay a bit more. I’m diming the lights to 50% and droping the the temp to 70-75 until harvest

For sure. I dealt with spider mites in Cali, but here in Illinois I haven't seen any. I really haven't had any bugs, except now since I'm giving organics a go, I got gnats. Lol...I do know the pain of spider mites though.

Are you still planning out a DE grow? Would love to see details and pics of that one and your insight on how it compared to the LED rooms.

you can see the light. that alone should answer your question if that’s uv. did you not enjoy a physics education?
This is what a UV led fixture looks like. It's difficult to tell from the photo if that's similar or not as I've never seen a UV light in person and that's why I was asking.

You could have spent the same effort helping a fellow grower out and answer the question which seems so obvious to you.

Your physics education has left you lacking in other types of intelligence.

that’s what a chinese vendor wants you to believe what an uv light diode should look like. uv light per se is in the non visual spectrum. our eyes are not made to see it nor should you look at it. that picture is mostly certainly around the 400nm range...
