Awesome job dude. Im also a fellow first time grower. Just about halfway through second run.

Wanted to ask about your lights. Was looking to switch from hps. How did you find them over all? I noticed you said you run ac, did it get that hot? And it seems you know others is the biz. How did these lights compare with theres? Thanks and gl on next run
I love the lights so far, I ran 24 lights total with a 5 ton and I’m borderline, might add a 12k btu AC. But winter is coming so might not need to right away

Seems like they run kinda hot? Were they all on the same cycle? My last one was 30 1kw lights with air in air out only. With a little help from house ac. Mind you it was 3 seperate rooms. Looking to switch to led for heat reasons. You have any buddies with the gavita hps that you could compare the heat with.

You have to measure it in watts, they put out 650w of heat compared to a 1000w. Yes all on same cycle

Thanks for the Journal!
Nice Job Dude!!
Thanks for sticking to the end. My impression at the start was that you where slightly in over your head as a first grow (thats a big space to start out with and massive amount of moving parts(, so glad and impressed that everything went well. What was your biggest surprises or did you feel that most things where expected?

Do you have separate numbers for the arize section? Area covered and watts would be great info.

Will be hanging around for the next8)(:

Hey man, I did a lot of research and I still do, most of my time I'm reading about cannabis or cultivation in general. This forum has helped tremendously.
My 2 biggest surprises were pest and humidity spikes at night at the end. I barely took control over the spider mites on my last run, this time around I ordered a bunch of beneficial insects that will hunt down mites if they ever show up again. I cleaned my whole space with bleach and virkon soap.
Then the dehu, my chinese dehu stood no chance against these vapor producing machines that were my plants. That also should be fixed with 300 pints dehu from Quest. Right now I'm sitting at 58%RH during night time and my new plants are in, they're huge, super ugly, but they're trees. I hope they will perform nicely.

I don't have numbers for the Arize section since I did not start any plants under them, I got them halfway thru and just threw some problematic plants under them. I will make sure to mark down the numbers for the current run.

I also forgot to mention I tested the THC content of the buds with the Purpl Pro machine, it tested between 23%-28%. I tested another bud from this run that cured way faster and was in contact with sunlight during the curing process and it tested at 17%, so interesting stuff for sure.

Edit: 500sqf-ish with 22/24 lights of 650W each

Go with bigger pots. 7s run CO2 during veg also. Keep your co2 at 1200 high and 1000 low. I really your watering system how did you set it up?

I get my plants as ''teens'' ready to flower so I didn't chose the size of pots or medium. I got the same thing this run. But on the next one it's coco in a bit bigger pots, not too big because I would rather feed 2 times a day and smaller let's me do that. As for CO2, I follow the Fluence guideline, they say I can pump them up to 1500ppm when you have enough PAR, which I do.

Watering system is setup on a bigass pump, I changed pump a few times and finally went with something expensive but apparently relaible, it's linked to a wifi Rainbird unit and 4 dedicated zones, each table has holes in them to drain in a main pipe that goes in the basement drain. I love these tables a lot, the fact that I can just pour 5 gallons of bleach, peroxide and virkon to clean my lines and tables is great. Don't worry I flushed the whole thing with 2000L of clean water afterwards. Come to think of it this might not be very eco friendly, I'll have to think of another solution, any tips are welcome
