Definetely right on. Will get onto it tommorrow.
Ideally you'd want to defol right before flip - I missed this defol on my current grow and paid for it. You should be okay with defoling *lightly* right now. I'd take care of some of the bigger fan leaves now. I'm a fan of lolipopping them around day 21, removing the lower half of the plant essentially, clearing nodes that will be larf (energy suckers). There's quite a few schools of though on defoliation, it's about finding what you like and what works best for your grows.

This one should be a nice bushy monster though. May have to throw up another scrog to support the colas. Once you see 1 cola start leaning you need to do it that day or the next. I waited too long and walked into some horizontal colas yesterday lol.

Happy growing brother!

Thanks bro, info noted for sure.

This strain has ALOT of foliages, i mean really excessive. Did a “light” defoil which ended up being a medium to light major defoil lol

you're well okay man. Could go for twice that. I'd say let her ride for now, try tucking some fan leaves that are blocking nodes under the scrog for now. I try to aim for 15% floor/soil light penetration. She's healthy af tho bro. start tying down some of them nodes to give adequate space for flowering. In 16 days, do a heavier defol. Less is more, make sure to check in here before mutilating your plants! lol

After some consideration and free time i decided to do a round 2 of defoil. Even after the first round i still noticed heavy congestion in the middle. Also spaced out the branches which further evens out light penetration. I think she has more room now.

Accidently left the grow room lights on for an extra 3.5 hours and also had the tent slightly unzipped all night until i discovered in the morning. The biggest accident yet. Hope i didnt fuck up :(

On a side note - the plant has been stretching quite abit since last update 3 days ago. Preflowers really starting to show.

I would be more patient before giving out any advices there buddy. Wasn't you the guy running 2.9 EC in containers a couple of days ago?

Defoiling is down to personal preference and it's not anything based on scientifical knowledge. I yield about the same. I do "lollipop" my plants but I only really pluck leaves dropped by the plant itself. After a few runs your hash pile get bigger because you can't be bothered to trim everything.

Defoiling is probably the worst advice you could give a new grower. It's a plants food source in case of an emergency, lockout, overwatering, bad bacteria cultures etc. A lot of stuff could come up during a growing cycle.

Curious if you're actually going to give advice to this guy or just follow me around the forums and flame me?

If you've read the thread, you will find the discussion we were having about defoliating, where others prior have suggested defoliating. I chimed in with what I have been following (after his first defoliation), which is the nebula manifold guide, and giving insight on what I have experienced. You would also find the post where I said exactly what you said " There's quite a few schools of though on defoliation, it's about finding what you like and what works best for your grows. "

Yes, I was feeding 2.9EC. Did I suggest he feed at 2.9? No.
Was I overdoing it on the nutes? probably.
Do I grow fucked up plants? I wouldn't say so, and I think many others would agree.
In fact, I'm very proud of my plants.

What's your deal, bro? Everyone else here is mad cool..

My 14 or so main colas getting fatter daily.

I feel like this will be a big yielder than i first expected.

Had my led lights too close initially at about 15inches from top buds which i believe was slowing down the growth a little. Sugar leaves on the tops were slightly twisted as shown below.
I have since raised it to about 18inches and the buds are back growing nicely after dialing in on that aswell maintaining proper temps and rh for both day and dark cycles. Danky aroma is starting become more noticable when inside the tent.

Shwazzing is what they called it. It's the thing.. But you have to really know the strain and be on point with your feeds. You can't just cut off all the leaves and expect something magical to happen.

Earlier when I was searching I seen someone shwazz a pure sativa plant before all the hype it was pretty crazy looking.
