It's best t start out in small planter pots for the seedlings and 2 more transplants after that would be your final container. The point of that would be to let the roots toughen. Your plants are looking healthy though and I have no complaints. Get yourself a HID before flowering that will be your number one difference in your setup.

Is your bagseed a street seed from regular or mid like mine? If so don't listen to the fellas who say you can't yield a good harvest from non-breeder stock. 80% of the time the seed you pick outof your smoke will grow into an awesome plant harvesting dank. My bagseed I have in my signature is covered in trichomes hahaa dwarf feller but I just found my seed pods appearing where I pollinated her to get seeds so I can give her another run when I have more availability.

Pictures will fool you though she is a shiner! Was from a sparkling brick bud I eyed because the trich production on the brick bud and the quality sativa look and buzz to it so don't plant any seeds that don't come from bud you know for sure isn't decent enough to smoke.

Ok 3 week update

Blue pot started out as my hopefully but as it grows it just look awkward to me. I've watered it the same schedule as the other and they receive the same light. Only thing I could think of is that it's in a bigger pot with more of the nutrition-high miracle grow.

Also I switched to 12/12 two days ago. Mostly because this was a first grow just to get some knowledge and comfortable with it on some level. I never expected a high yield at all.

I plan on flowering these out if they are female and start a long patient grow. If anyone knows a good place to order seeds please let me know, I'll research but it's always nice to hear personal favorites. Preferably where I can pay with card.

Blue pot ( from research I think the bent leaves are from too much nutes, learned lesson)

Also by the leaves do they look indica or sativa? Not experienced enough to tell but from examples the leaves looks a little wider like a indica

Looking good man, that green pot has really come into its own! I don't really know much about the lights, I just use 2x 600w hps, but I know the more light you have, the better your buds are so I guess the more the better? That seems early for 12/12 although I guess people run them that way from being tiny seedlings so it's not a problem, I just like a good veg period and plants that look hefty going into flower so they just look small to me, but to each their own. Hope it keeps going well for you :bigjoint:

Yeah the Green one shot up and looks so cool to me lol.
My plan was to veg until about 8 weeks, but after all the things I've learned just browsing RIU and from the post from members , I feel like I know how I want my ideal set-up.

I figured I would finish my first set of plants out respectively and then get the proper medium and use my knowledge to set in on a long meticulous grow.

Like always I will continue to update with pics weekly or more frequent if I have an issue. Thanks RIU members for making a newbie feel comfortable...

Now let's get 'bought a pound lmao jk

Added more light. So now there are 4 - 23 watt (100 watt) soft white 2700k.
And also 4 - 23 watt (100watt) daylight 5000k.

Would this be efficient to go all the way to harvest with?
Nice little starter setup :), that will do you just fine. I use the exact same combo of bulbs in my closet project box and it does well for me. I usually mix in more 5k in veg, but I only have 4 2700k atm so I flower with 4 of each and they do just fine ( I pulled about 40g from a little 3wk veg GDP clone in a mini-scrog that was only 2/3 full). Here's a snap of some PieFace OG in the box I'm trying to rescue from hermiville lol

PICT0002.JPG

You can kinda see I flipped some dollar store turkey trays and made 4 bulb fixtures with 2 Ys and a T. I quickly found cutting holes over the bulbs let all the heat out with minimal reflection loss.

Also earlier you were unsure about burying the stem in transplant, so I just want to mention that's something I do on pretty much every plant I grow lol, no issue yet. I normally start seeds and clones in 2/3 full cups with the intention of "burying the stretch", then later when I top I remove the 5th node, keep the 3rd and 4th, and use the first 2 for clones or if not needed cut them and bury the stem up to useful growth at final pot up.

Thanks, yeah I buried a little higher up earlier in the grow. Im going to transplant the Green pot into something a little bigger within the next few days. Hats off to your set up as well

Both of those look good. Blue pot is just a little nute burnt but looks like it's growing fine and isn't shocked. Tbh you probably did them better by placing them into flower while in that miracle grow soil because vegging in that stuff is a hassle, but they'll eat the nutes right up when hungry in bloom.
You asked what profile the plants have indica or sativa; to me they look like they have indica influence to them it is most noticeable with the hybrids though when they bloom. Gotta be skeptical with it since it's an unknown strain.
The reason I say it appears to be indica dominant is the leafs are tubbys and the crease between leafs isn't spaced, it overlaps eachother very much typical of an indica.

Thanks, this has been a good experience for me so far. Can't wait to start again and make something really worth admiring.
Not to take anything away from my current plants, I'm going to still grow and smoke these with that pride you get from creating something yourself.

With that being said it's 7:52 in the Midwest, time to wake and bake lol :bigjoint:

Okay week 4 UPDATE

Blue pot has Alot more undergrowth and still growing steadily, although I can see more leaves having the wrinkly look. I've watered when it's noticeable that it is dry, which is usually about every 3-4 days.

I also transplanted the green pot yesterday to add more soil. It was drying out very fast and became droopy, so I suspected it may be close to root bound. It is still droopy but I'm thinking maybe stress from the move?? Not to worried unless it doesn't improve.

Thanks for the read guys

Also this is week 1 of 12/12. If you see any preflowers please let me know. Thanks

There are little ball type growths on the blue pot. But the look like they are split on the top. Can't tell if it's a new branch or not

Seen possible male preflowers on green pot at the very top node. Looked like 2 or 3 balls in a group. Can recognize it from other photos on RIU. I'm going to give it a few days to make sure then it will be chop time.

I read that males show faster into 12/12 or in maturity in general. So this gives me hope that blue pot ( my favorite from the start) will be female. Also blue pot has become VERY bushy. To the point where the branches are getting stuck underneath another.

So would maybe tying them down to give them space be a good idea at this stage?

Thanks
Shady

P.s. I would have uploaded a pic of the possible preflower, but I can't get a good enough pic to be able to show. Im not going to even try and make you guys strain your eyes lol

it was definitely a male. Had a ton of clusters of sacks that I didn't see at first glance. Also the top was a harder round top. Kind of like a nipple if that makes sense.

So R.I.P to the green pot.
