First time grower...Opinions and suggestions welcome and wanted.

low, those girls look great!!!! flip dat bro to 12/12. U have to grow dat Cole train i got it myself from attitude. it was a bitch to crack it took 8 days to come out and then after about a week i was (being lazy) changing the bulb from the cooltube i dropped it and it sliced that 1 and my other ufo rocklock trust me im still losing sleep over dat. so u gotta do it and give me a smoke report

yeah my 60day wonders didnt flower for awhile 2. they should start around nxt week, its bull wat they say about autos flowering str8 away trust me they veg 4 1 month and flower 4 1 month without changing da light cycle. i no ur thinking about finishing of the autos and then flipping 2 12/12 trust me if you wait and veg the photo's 4 like 70days u will have buds as big as ur fist but its alot of work keeping the big plants looking healthy and they drink da bucket over night. if u r gonna do da long veg to max out the auto's get a dual specturm bulb. ps im :joint:

Thanx...I would love to take cuttings/clones but I'm not setup for it yet.I don't have a clone cabinet/tent....Maybe after the new year.I plan on doing auto's for my next grow or two.

Yea, I'm going to start them on 12/12 tomorrow I think...they've grown some over nite and their close to the 12"s I was waiting for.I got that fan from amazon.com...Holmes fan I think,works great so far.Good luck with your flowering stage.

Thanx B.S. I'll let ya know how the cole train goes when I grow it.I think I'll be doing auto's the next time around.

Sounds good. I hit 18" yesterday on the BDH..Too big :/ .. I've got to grab a couple small tomato cages to contain them or else I'll be in trouble. I have a feeling no matter what I do past this point I'll be battling height the whole way. And yea it should be interesting comparing through-out.

im looking for information myself to start growing my own ive started by getting the first copy of the cannabible but thats more about the strains of weed i think you will get up and smokeing before me with any luck if i learn any thing that will help you and your wife ill let you know keep searching youl be helping your better half soon good luck

looking good, U even got a cooltube setup. (which is A MUST for small grow setups). The temp from top to bottom is gonna be a 3-9F difference. I personally look at both near the plant temp, and outside air thats coming in. i am currently using Fox farm grow big and big bloom, and so far i have no complaints. its cheap and good.. im also using happy frog soil. you also want to Use a little of your own personaly judgment and put the back of your hand right by the top of the plants so u can feel how hot the top of plants are getting (so if u need to bring the light up more)...what i have noticed is when im vegging , i keep the light slightly farther from the plants(but still keeping a good distance) and put the light as close as possible when flowering.

Yeah, WHere are you venting this air? are u constantly bringing in fresh air ?

ur definitely gonna need an AC for days that it gets too hot. Your also gonna need a good enough CFM inline fan So there's less heat coming from that bulb. 400hps gets HOT for a small setup. i wouldnt let your plants get higher than 85-90f. 75F is ideal.

RUN YOUR LIGHTS on through 7pm-1pm, THAT way During the hottest part of the day, your light isnt on MAKING IT EVEN HOTTER.

if your light is running at 4pm and its 95f and u have no ac. Then ur looking at 100F EASY in that grow setup

Everything seems to be going OK right now.I have an A/C unit in the room that my tent is in,so I can control the heat easily.

8/13/10

35 Days of veg.

Plants got a watering today.

They measured:
White Castle - 12"
Master Kush - 11"
2 Bubblelicous (autos) - 11"
Baby Bubblelicous (auto) - 7 1/2" (25 days of veg)

Starting tomorrow the plants will be put on a 12/12 cycle of light.Changed the 400W MH to the 400W HPS Hortilux.
Time to flower... :weed:

. Btw, in response to your post : Unforunately I didn't buy decent grow bags. Yours looked a bit fancier than mine, mine are just black plastic. I was in a hurry and they were 50 cents, whatchya gona do? They'll start to rip if i shove things through. I actually just found a simple solution, I'm going to grab some strong metal clips. If that doesn't work than I'll move to my tomato cage idea. If that doesn't work I thought of putting 2"x2" wire mesh below the light to form a height limit for the canopy.

I received my Attitude shipment today and one of the Freebie seeds was totally crushed.

The Short Stuff Seeds Super-Cali Haze (super auto) came stapled to a UFO Business card with the other 2 freebies from Short Stuff and was crushed (no damage from the staple).It was the only seed with damage and it was behind the other 2 seeds.It was also wrapped in the t-shirt I had ordered.The seed had to be damaged leaving their warehouse.There wasn't any damage to the inside packaging (small bubble wrap envelope) or outside packaging. Hmmm.....

The advanced Seeds Sweet Dwarf looks like it was opened then stapled closed also.No biggie,as long as the seed enclosed is the Sweet Dwarf.

I'm not sure if I should contact them to see if they would send another Super-Cali Haze (super auto) Freebie?
Or is it a waste of my time?

What do you guys think?

I did pay for the guaranteed shipping. I'd love another seed,but don't want to pay any additional shipping.

The Good News....It only took 6 busniess days to get to me in the U.S.

WEAK Low. Sorry to see that. It looks like somebody smashed it and dumped the pieces in there lol. Not to add insult to injury. Definately notify them of your bunk purchase and make sure you get some compensation.

no you need to ring them thats the better way and send them pics of the broken seeds they will send you another pack out, and u dont have to pay a penni so dont worry these seeds shops deal with this all the time they used to it, it hase happend to me!

Just focus on keeping things cool in the tent and everything will go well. The things you need to studie up on though will be drying, cureing, trimming, ph and ppm testing, and go on ebay and drop 10 bucks on a magnifier. your local grow shop may have them but if not here is a link that way you know when to pick your meds for the best quality http://cgi.ebay.com/Pocket-LED-40X-...e-10085-2-/180544359202?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 you want to harvest when the trichs are about 70% amber. other than than man, it seems like youve done your studies, good luck with your adventure man and the best to your whife..

Having no problems with the temps after the first week in my grow. Added an AC unit to the bedroom the tent's in. pH seems to be ok. As far as an magnifier goes I just bought a 30x jewelers loupe.Thanx for visiting and the kind words for my wife.

2 Days of flowering
37 Days from seed

Measured the plants today:
White Castle - 16" (grew 4")
Master Kush - 12 1/2" (grew 1 1/2")
2 Bubblelicous -14" and 13 1/2" (grew 3' and 2 1/2")
Baby Bubblelicous -10" (grew 2 1/2") (27 days from seed)

Decided to LST the White Castle since it was taking off and getting taller then the rest.Tied the top 4 branches down with hemp string and saftey pins for the fabric bags.This is my first LST....

Also got a few other goodies for my grow.
Jeweler's Loupe - 30X for the trichomes come harvest.
Sprung hash bags (5 bags 5 gallon) (never made it before)
