So I have been watering my plants with just ph adjusted water at 6.5 ph and ppm at 160. And when I check my run off 2 plants are 6.0 ph and the other 2 are 5.1 ph and all there ppm amounts fall between 3000- 4000. Wtf that seems high But this is my first grow so Iam assuming that’s the hot soil that ppl keep talking about. Plants seem healthy besides some white dots on 2 plants and one leaf that has some burnt Can anyone help explain the ph and ppm levels Iam getting and why.

Ph adjusting plain water for soil is going to cause problems. There is no benefit as fox farm, as well as most fortified soils are buffered are the soil level. Drowning it in acid will kill all the good beneficial microbes which are feeding your plants.

I know this is not what most people say.... keepyour ph adjustments for when your feeding a nutrient solution. That’s the only time itmatters. ( with in reason) if water ph is 8plus then it’s prob a water problem to begin with.

The lower leaf looks like a spill. Can’t really tell

the leaf above that looks like you have a lockout (likely from low ph). Use that plain tap water.

High TDS/ppm runoff for organic soil doesn’t matter. It’s normal to get readings in 3000-3500 before the nutrients have been depleted.

I’m going to give you the NON scientific answer. Microbes have to break down the nutrients so just because they’re in the soil doesn’t mean they’re “available” for use.
What pretty amazing to me is microbes can and do regulate ph as well!
This is why I chose to give ph tap water View attachment 4795976
I’m gonna go on a limb here and remind us consumers that brands like fox farm are only interested in selling and shit ton of bottles. They have their own line of ph Up/down that they would love every gardener to use. Along with their 12 other nutrients and additives as
well.
It’s kinda of like the dr. Trying to hook us on weight loss and head med pills. When all we have to do is eat balanced food and sleep all night.... ff script will always be the same ole thing, they want you to think their schedule and products are all 1000% necessary.
And the biggest mystery to me is how the industry as a whole has convinced most new gardeners that ph is like a plant vitamin. Lol one a day, makes the human feel like we’re doing something.

I swear I see people feed 4x as much ph down as nutrients.

I plan to use general Hydroponic’s flora series. So what your saying is to use non ph tap water every time I only water and to ph water when using my nutrients to 6.5 ph ?
Yes. The chelated nutrients in the GH do need to be in the correct range. Always adjust after you’ve added your nutrients as sometimes you get lucky and once nutrient salts are mixed into solution, the ph may come down naturally. Then do you small adjustments. Gradually lowering solution ph throughout the cycle.

Can u suggest different ph levels at different s cycles and quickly explain why I should use them. For I heard that new growers safe ph is 6.5. But Iam up to listen and learn

If you where planning on going full salt based nutes, why didn't you just use Promix and get dialed in from the start?
I always found adding salt nutes to organic soil is asking for all sorts of complications.
