I just saw this movie and it talks about how the Us government has illegally been charging us income tax since 1913. It was pretty good. There are a few people that have actually won in court against the irs. The big loophole was for the gov to show a law that says you have to pay and they couldnt provide one. They wont say who owns the federal reserve but it is not the government its privately owned. And all our income tax goes to paying the intrest on the loan the government has whith them. Its pretty fucked up. I dont know if the movie is out or not but you might be able to dl it from the web. Its worth watching.

Since I pay such miniscule amounts of tax on my miniscule retirement, I am not concerned for me. Believe me, I paid my share for 50+ years. The notion of someone getting their money directly from your paycheck is revolting, but how else would they do it. If they didn't take it out, most people would have to owe it at years end, and would either have to borrow it w/interest or go to prison for evasion. Most people have very little left of their paycheck as it is and giving them the tax amount would probably just raise their standard of living, to soon be curtailed at years end. Now if you could convince them all to put their tax money in a high interest account, they might even profit from this. The problem is that the Government would go broke if you witheld a years worth of taxes, So in the interest of keeping our war profiteering government alive, we must have payroll deductions. This only my humble opinion! BTW, I'd like someone, anyone, to show me how an excise or consumption tax could provide the revenue that this govt. needs to stay alive, Plans anyone. Supply figures, not rhetoric!

I've been an independent contractor for so long, I've forgotten what its like to have taxes taken out of a paycheck. I think that's one of the reasons I'm so against a tax on income. Once you've had the experience of paying estimated taxes quarterly, then getting hit with another 70k tax bill at the end, you tend to look at income taxes a little differently. And, you're correct, if the average American paid at the end of the year, instead of with each paycheck, the government would never be able to continue the scam.

On the sales tax: Just eliminate the tax on income, then raise the sales tax to whatever it has to be in order to run government.

Any estimates on this, 10%-25% 50% 100% 200% If they do that, no-one will buy anything except the excluded Items, like food and rent! This is one of your stoned out fantasys and would never work! I'm all for less government and getting more bang for the buck out of the one we've got!

I agree if we were to stop income tax they would raise taxes somewhere else. Either way you will pay. It will just be called something else. On another note the movie was talking about what our income tax goes to. It goes to paying the intrest off for all the money the gov borrowed from the fed reserve that year. The big deal was that we should print our own money and keep our own gold and then we would save billions in intrest prolly. They were talking like we had the same amount of gold but more paper money than gold. I guess its easy if you run out of money cause you can just print more. It must be nice to own the federal reserve. Im sure thats the illuminati people that own the reserve. lol.
It seems like our country is out of control. How do you stop the government. They have all the money and guns. The movie also showed how they went door to door in NOLA taking everyones guns. Then left people to defend their property from looters unarmed. That was news to me. Doesnt sound like freedom to me.

I just saw a program that says we have 300 billion in gold in Ft. knox. A drop in the bucket compared to the national debt! So what do we use for collateral; My guess is federal land. In other words, China whom owns a great part of our national debt has a few national parks for collateral waiting for bankruptcy, so they can foreclose . We had better start learning Chinese!

Vi I've had that experiance, I was an Owner Operator Truck Driver for a while. And I still beleive in income taxes, so on that one your bucket holds no water.
And yes I was grossing between 150K - 250K per year and after expences and taxes I was netting between 50K - 100K a year.. Funny after I paid my taxes every quarter I never ended up owning anything else... I guess I wasn't trying to hide anything from the government.

I'd say that if you paid what you said on one of your posts (70K) in income tax, you had plenty left to subside on. Oh woe is me, I made 300,000 and only got to keep 230,000. Do the words Greedy Fuck have any meaning to you?

Yes, they mean to me that you are a demeaning, whining, bully of a man who cannot stand to be disagreed with. And when you are disagreed with, you respond with irrational emotion, dialoge and anger. When I read your rants, I envision a small child who, when he doesn't get his way, he stomps his feet, his face turns red and he calls out for his mommy.

Vi if Med didnt argue with you then the politics section would be dull and boring. You know you enjoy arguing with him. I could give him some infractions for insulting members but I think you guys like the conflict he always causes. lol. I will keep watching though.
