I mix in a tiny bit of powder in the water because I noticed this....as I put my cuttings in some of the powder on the tip of the stem comes off in the water anyway...so whats it gonna hurt right?...lol I have my clones under four four foot fluoro tubes...actually you can see they are next to it...I also cover my clones to keep moisture in. and make sure you cut the leaves to prevent transpiration:mrgreen:

all of mine are doing just fine :)
I dont doubt it one bit....this is just the easiest cheapest way for me to get it done and it works fine...thats why I do it this way... if I hadnt broken my old reptile tank a few months back I would be using that to clone but...oh well...did you get any pics of your box yet?

so I decided to try out my first scrog today....I took plant number four and used it for the experiment. I took a milk crate and cut out all four sides then took a plasic container with the freshly transplanted plant and shoved it under the crate...the long sides of the container go beyond the milk crate holes so when I pick up the crate the whole plant comes too. only 1 inch of movement when I pick it up but it will work. i have the plant in a 1 gallon bag now and gave it a dose of flower and veg nutes...hopefully it grows through the crate like a bat out of hell....so I basically took it from four colas to ten colas.... we shall see what happens...btw...its the plant on the left in the first pic

looks good, I am sure that in a few days it will take off, and you will get super dense beautiful nugs... just wish I could magically make it happen overnight (had a dream I could do that the other night), :)

I wish that too. I cant wait to see how much this little girl gives up at harvest....I dont know personally what scrog can do but under the 600 I am sure that even this little plant will get pretty fat all around....crossed fingers:mrgreen:

heres the update...I threw some collars on the clones today....it pulled most of the rootbumps out of the water so I think they will take a little longer....only about an inch of them is in the water now...oh well...whatever...I have time. the scrog is goin well...things have all turned up towards the light under the crate and it will be filling in pretty quickly I think....keep an eye on that one...it will either be a flop or a great success for me...lol...the connie boys are doin fine....both showin lots of ballsand the two clones in flower are way different sizes...lol...I had one of them under the 600 two weeks before the other and look at the difference...wow...the other four plants are still veggin out and there is one more little one that is just sick and dyin but it will live...I have faith...ha...also...I threw one of the clones from the clone box into soil this mornin and it is doin just fine...it was the reason I put collars on everything. it was only about an inch in the water and shot roots right out the bottom instead of the side like all of my other clones that were touching the bottom of the box...like I said though...whatev...here are the pics

lol... my clones are looking shabby compared to your in your illustrious box. They are still alive, but Im not sure how long they will last. I think that I am going to try SCROG too, and see how it goes, but not with a crate though. Your looking good! makin me proud, :), and I am not even doing anything. Keep it up man, and kick down a pretty nug for the nice words :P

okay...I am gonna do a post on my cloning right now since so many people are asking me how I am keeping my clones alive. there are a few very basic things I do to keep em happy. first you can see my cloner box...you dont even need the collars. i just added them...you need some sort of tupperware...poke holes in the top...black out the bottom...I used tape to black it out. fill it with water....dip your clones in rooting hormone and stick em in...now...I simply have them next to a couple of fluoro tubes....I cover them to keep transpiration down. I use an old laundry basket covered in painters plastic to do this. once I see 1 or 2 roots sticking out about 1/4 inch I put them in soaking wet soil for about two to three days before I put them anywhere near the 150 or the 600....I like to see a little new growth in the leaves before they go under the light. besides that I mist them every few hours when they are in the water....keep it simple. I dont put them in soil to root because I like to see the roots develop. thats about it
