HELLO!

I am back with another query about growing for you all.:) I have NEVER grown the same strain for long, and i think maybe its time to find a good solid strain to learn on. Something that is STABLE, strong enough to make an insomniac sleep, and maybe take the edge off my back pain
It should be something 9 weeks in flower (it fits my perpetual grow plans best) hybrid, mix of sat/ind doesnt matter, heavy yields, and does well in DWC buckets.

I am looking at---

Ak-47 (serious seeds)
Northern lights (nt sure what breeder has the best)
WW (again not sure who has the best)
BubbleGum (thSeeds)
LSD (barney)
Grand daddy purps
BlueBerry(djshort)
Red Chery berry (barney)

Sort of not sure what is good and what is bad, unfortunately i dont know enough to not be susceptible to the marketing Blitzkrieg put out by these companies. They ALL look good on Attitude, and EVERY strain has both good AND bad reviews......
So im just sort of lost at this point. Last time i went with my gut i ended up with TONS of Cali Connect gear that i now just dont trust hahaha.
I will also be growing some other strains for flavor, but i want something i can get a good strong mother of and just grow and grow and grow it, and be able to compare nute mixes and other variables to get myself better at growing.

And if some of the strains you all have might work im willing to consider them as long as they fit the bill. Sorry if this is retarded to ask but i want the best info before i move forward.
What say you?

Edited list:

Ak-47 (serious seeds)
Northern lights (nt sure what breeder has the best)
WW (again not sure who has the best)
BubbleGum (thSeeds)
Grand daddy purps ( i LOVE looking at Purps)
BlueBerry(djshort)

From that list:
You can never go wrong with Serious Seeds they are legit and they dont make a bunch of strains they have what they have because they are solid strains. They arent pollen chuckers like Cali Con or TGA

Northern Lights #5 is always a winner and a good plant for beginners

White Widow is always a winner

Bubble Gum is a classic

I dont grow anything Barneys Farm

Cant go wrong with anything DJ short

GDP is always a good smoke

You also may want to take a look at GrapeGod and Space Dawg as far as a shorter time frame. If you want 1 very long flowering plant (not a bad idea to run 1 for the "other" side of the flowering coin take a look at Cali Mist (makes me pass out), Malawi Gold, or the ols standby Maui Waui.
Good luck!!

Kali Mist is awesome. Good for broads on their period too. Growing it indoors might be tough though

You have alot of good choices there. From experience I would say if you want a NL go with Dr. Atomic or Mr. Nice. Mr. Nice has alot of NL5 crosses that have just come out not to long ago. Its not on your list but Nordle is a great plant strong narcotic stone and smells like berries. Yields well too. DJ 's gear is special not like anything else out there. I have done Blueberry, F13, and Flo from him. And the BB was the hardest, it starts slow there are mutants (not a bad thing) awesome looking plants that don't take up alot of room. If I was you I would look into MNS line, serious seeds is good bit not like they used to be. And anything from bhodi if you can find them his shit is lava.

You picked some winners got a difficult choice ahead of ya.

Ak-47 first company to stabilize it and mass market it good ole Serious seeds. Doesnt fit the profile for your medical needs. Pass up. However you want a hard hitting sativa dominant strain that finishes fast that would be the one to do.

Northern Lights well in your case I would go with Sensi's version and it would be number 1 or number 5. Heck in theory you could deviate a little from northern lights and acquire pre98-bubba kush or bubba76 or there are a number of versions of this from other seed companies. Pre- 98 bubba kush is basically a northern lights crossed with a landrace kush. That would definately fit your medical needs. Sannies seeds have a legit version of pre 98 bubba kush and some other companies not sure if they are legit though. Sannies I am certain it is.

White widow imo seedsman and mr nice would have the best representations of white widow strain. Believe the original was black widow and that was done by Mr. Nice. Been hearing some bad germination and hermie cases with Mr. Nice company. Doesnt fit your medical needs I would pass. However if you want a really exotic uplifting energetic high then white widow is the way to go. Which youll need trimming that always hated trimming white widows lol.

Bubblegum by Th seed company. I have done some of their gear in the past exeptional seed company. Bubblegum does fit your profile for medical needs. Easy to grow. Above average yield. Earthy with cotton candy overtone.

Grandaddy Purple that was my previous cycle. Believe the seeds came from Connossieur Genetics. Totally fit your medical needs. Easy to grow. A pleasure to watch mature love that purple too hehehe.

Blueberry from Dj Short ah amaking strain done that years ago. Most other seed companies use his version because of its stability over the dutch passion one. Didnt try growing the sativa version. In your case you want the 80%/20% indica/sativa one. Fits your medical needs but for me there was a psychadelic component for me prior to the couchlock. Definately would love growing this strain again and again. One of the few exeptions of an indica dominant plant not loving high end nutrient feeding.

Sensi Super Skunk.

Reliable, tried and true fairly stable genetics. Won't break the bank either. There are dozens of detailed grows and reviews floating around RIU and other cannabis boards, so there is no shortage of information about this strain.

Easy Rider and GDP IMO. Def the 2 easiest strains ive ever grown. I am now growing my 3rd version of a GDP and it's by far the best one and is still just as easy.

I have to disagree with using autos to "dial in" your skills since they behave differently than photoperiod strains. Knowing when and how to initiate flowering is an important part of growing. Also, if you are looking for stability and want to try growing the same strain for awhile, I would highly recommend learning how to take clones, which isn't really advisable with autos.

Well i have decided on Serious seeds AK-47. ALOT more expensive than the other stuff i was looking at, but it seems to be unanimously popular for yield, strength and ease of growing. (maybe ill get lucky and get a cherry Pheno.)
Will also be getting some NL#5 when i am able.

Hopefully this wil get me solid working strains to get good at.

there is no skill involved in growing cannabis. at least not in soil. we (not me) make it more difficult than it is. i've grown a lot of plants, and cannabis is one of the easiest.
less is more.

When you grow indoor you have to have some sort of skill you cant just drop the seed and leave like growing outdoors. You have training to do on the plant because some plants will stretch and grow too big and you have to use techniques like LST, topping and super cropping.
