anyone debating about what tent to buy?

before i bought my tent, i spent a lot of time researching what tents people used, what they liked/disliked about them, different features/benefits of different brands/manufacturers, price, etc. i didnt want to mess around with building one, as some of the features in tents really make them worth what you pay for them (for the most part). i really wanted to make sure that the single piece of equipment i would have to spend the most money on (the tent), would be worth the money i was spending. here are two things i learned:

shopping online: do some research and figure out what you want online, then find a grow store near you that carries it if possible...(or see if they can order it in for you from their supplier if they dont usually carry it). online retailer sticker prices are lower than brick and mortar stores by maybe 10%, but online retailers charge like mad for shipping (tents come in a big box, and are relatively heavy)...the best price i found online after tax and shipping was at least $50 more than getting the same one at a grow store.

best tents out there:
http://www.homebox-growlab.net/

the tent i have is the GL120. 3'11"x3'11"x6'7" (105 cubic feet)
i use two 400W lights - one HPS, one switchable (MH/HPS)
180cfm canfan exhaust fan (not inline, i need the heat during the winter months, but itll be inline this summer...)
canfan carbon filter

hopefully this will allow you to skip on the research part. unless you think you can find a better tent out there...then post it here. homebox growlab tents are the fucking bomb. all of the complaints people have about secret jardin tents dont exist for me. the zippers are killer (even have soft rubber grips with the logo on them), stitching is great, plenty of ports, strong frame, nice reflective interior, windows.....easy to set up/take down...you would think that i sell these things, but i dont. ive been using mine for a year, and its awesome...

scrog1.jpgOK.........so here's what I've got goin on..............after reading alot about scroggin' I've decided that that's what Ima do...........
my plants are at day 17 of vegging now.................
The screen sits at 8" high from the top of the soil........as I've read it could be anywhere between 8" and a foot.....

There's 2 of them that are almost reaching the screen so i can"t wait for them to reach so I can start bendin and tying them up....................my only concern is that don't know how long I should veg them........normally U veg for about 4 weeks???? if I'm rright..................well, if anyone has any comments or suggestions of my setup and the vegging time, lemme know...........

Tnx.........................

its 1000 watts the light is right were its suppose to be
Why would you burn up electricity on a 1000 watter just to raise it that high and dissipate most of the light? Wouldn't it be smarter, more efficient, to use flouro lighting at that young stage? Even CFL's.... It just seems like such a waste to fire up 1000 watts and then raise the light so high...

Trust me, it's hardly a concern for your bill, smart ass. I was merely pointing out the waste.

Your plants look great. are you going to fill the tray with hydroton? and weed out smaller plants?
