Yeah the outdoor pics and arguing for the sun is just silly, period. I don't think anyone is claiming to have a light better and cheaper than the sun. We all know awesome plants can be grown outdoors. This is about indoor lighting
Edit. And furthermore, the entire thread has just become silly. I see pics a huge buds and people talk shit about it ONLY because it was grown under an LED. I don't question for one second that if they said those buds were from hps you would be tipping your hat to them to say the least. And I've seen it the other way around in here too. I am fully convinced that someone could bring up the best grow in history in this thread and somebody is going to talk shit about it cause they aren't using the same lights.
Preach, brother! A great result stands on its own merits, no matter how it was achieved. Well, except for nastiness like Eagle 20.

When did organic ions and elements get absorbed different than any other type...or even become a different type for that matter.
I'm not trying to preach science, I grow both hydro and organic, my hydro always yields more my organic always tastes better. That's just from my experience. There is a difference in force feeding salt based nutrients as opposed to having bacteria and living creatures break down the material and create a food web if you will. Hydroponics creates hollow stemmed plants in my experience, organic soil creates woody based stem plants.

Higher yields can be scientifically and mathematically proven, taste is subjective and a matter of opinion.
I'm growing both right now, I love hydro for the yield, but nothing compares to a properly grown living organic soil for the flavor. I grew the same cut of golden goat in both and there was a significate difference in flavors. Both plants very healthy the whole time.

Terpene production can be measured.

force feeding
Jedi mind trick language.
Salts are a natural occurrence, but I hear you on the food web bit. I'm not saying there's nothing to it.

If there is something to it, it hasn't been identified nor proven, to my knowledge.

Like I said, that,s your opinion, I have a different one.

I don't use mineral salts in my organic , you should not they work against the bacteria.

dont forget water is a pretty good solvent and you are constantly diluting your root zone

i meant hydro always switching the water
constantly "washing" your roots
Yeah constant flush, my organic barely gets ANY water, like less than a cup a day for a 5 gallon container, mulch keeps moisture levels optimal and feed levels optimal for bacteria and creatures to go mad. I think that's why hydro plants get hollow stems, too much water at the root zone, their buds puff up like mad then when you dry them its like 10x smaller.

I've never observed hollow stems. I myself like a combination of synthetic nutrients with some added organics. The key is to inoculate regularly. Also not over doing the synthetics is also key. There is something to sustainable farming. Benificials help break down excess salts that may not be used. Each method has its merits but organic will not yield as well as synthetic most of the time.

I tried that, doesn't work as well as full organic. Doing full organic is a lot more work that's why many don't do it. Making your own nutrients is a bitch , making sst's aact and act's is a bitch. So is creating your own worm castings, compost, soil mix , and cooking it all . Takes time and TONS of effort, but no premade mixture can compare. All the extra work pays off in the end tho the buds are way better product.

Adding anything synthetic and salt based to organic kills the bacteria that makes organic amazing. You should never mix the two. Might as well go coco or dwc at that point , salt = killed bacteria. Organic = alive, synthetic = dead and force feed salts. If you guys don't know that you shouldn't be trying to educate about lights, because you are uneducated.

Can you show any scientific studies to support your claim that organic is "better "? Read the article at puyallup.wsu.edu/lcs " The myth of organic superiority "

I'm sure there are studies proving why organic is better, I mean there is a reason in the supermarket organic food is more expensive...and there is a huge movement towards organic and veganic food/weed in legal states like the one I live in.

The reason it costs more is because it costs more to produce, not because it magically tastes better .A plant cannot tell the difference between chemical and natural fertilizers.

Sorry to say but you are wrong, they are completely different processes, maybe if you had some more experience you would know, but you don't. So sad this forum has become a bunch of noobs talking about stuff they are clueless about, bet this guy never even grown a plant, weed or vegetable, so pathetic this is what is on roll it up anymore. Bunch of kids talking hypothetical situations that have never done anything in the real world.

I have plenty of experience , and my wife has a degree in horticulture and 40 years growing all types of plants. When I look for advice on a subject I go to the experts, not someone on a forum who' grown a few pot plants. Still waiting on the studies supporting your claim

Considering you never posted a picture on these forums and I have years of posting pictures and grows I think your the one needing the backup to their claims, baseless claims from a new member on these forums don't mean shit to me.
