I ordered a water pipe (bong) from Grasscity on Jan. 6th and they shipped it on the 10th. Going into the 5th week after they shipped it and it's still not here.

I had it shipped standard so there is no tracking info available. This was attached to the shipping confirmation email I got from them:

Also please take in consideration that it was shipped during that a new terror alert has been issued by the D.H.S. in the U.S. and that affects all of us. Basically we are asking you to be patient as it might take longer than expected.
I guess/hope it will be here in the next week or two, but I'm kinda paranoid about it. lol

I could be wrong, but from what I have read, it is legal to order any kind of pipe as long as the pipe hasn't been "used". Customs would have no reason to intercept/confiscate this item would they? Is this correct?

I just wish this thing would get here.....I hate loose ends like this......

Technically speaking it is illegal, but i don't think for you, just for them. Remember Chong going to jail a few years back? He was just sending bongs over state lines, went to jail for it, to set an example, doesn't look like many of us payed attention, LoL.

Hmmmm, so you think it's possible that I could get a letter or whatever from customs saying that they seized it? I don't see how they could, I mean it's brand new (unused). They can keep it because they assume someone "might" use it for cannabis? That's kinda messed up!

I highly doubt it, like i said, i don't think YOU are breaking any laws, just them. But with our government you never know. I would worry about the cops knocking or anything like that.

With a 2 trillion dollar deficit I think the governement as a little bit more to worry about than catching and prosecuting possible stoner related activity.

Wasn't Cheech thrown in jail for running a pipe and bong business? It is for tobacco only... just keep saying that...

To be guilty of something the jury must be "beyond reasonable doubt" of your conviction. Any lawyer that couldn't get you out of a simple paraphernalia charge (misdemeanor) with no illegal substance residue on it doesn't even deserve to be a state appointed attorney . I think that was mostly a public stunt planned by the DEA to make them seem semi-important...

Thanks....I figured it was just running slow getting here. After all we are talking about the U.S.P.S. here.....lol

Yeah man.. I had something from the UK ship on the 21st of January, and it arrived on the 4th or 5th of febuary... But I also ordered something else from the UK, that shipped on the 28th of January and arrived Febuary 7th..

Both packages handled by USPS. Both 'had' tracking, however once the package got to the US the updates stopped..

just a reference for you buddy!

A water pipe in no way, shape or form is illegal in the United States. I take it you've never heard of a head shop. It only becomes illegal when you use it for illegal activities, and residue from those activities are present on the pipe. But a water pipe by itself is most definitely legal.

Then why exactly did Chong go to jail? Enlighten us with your infinite knowledge.

He (unjustly) went to jail for explaining to an undercover Federal Agent what marijuana strains would smoke best in the pipes he was selling. By doing this, you make the pipes an accessory to the crime, or what we like to call, drug paraphernalia.

Check your local head shop, you can freely buy a sidecar, or chillum, or water bong with complete confidence you are not breaking the law. Once you pack it with marijuana, you are breaking the law. And that is, in essence, what Tommy Chong was doing. Or at least explaining how to do it.

Does that answer it good enough for you?
