Here's a question...

Been growin' for 12 years outdoor and indoor, and have usually always used wooden or bamboo stakes, small and large, depending on the setup. But lately, I've been making some really good stakes for branch manipulation, outta solid, bare copper and aluminum electrical wire, as I have an abundance of it and it helps me "contort" my ladies in even better positions, huh huh...Question is, couold the oxidation or whatever from the metals mess with my Ph, or somehow "poison" my babies? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Ya just can't bend bamboo and wood the way u can copper and/or alum wire, and it really makes a difference on spreading the canopy out much mor efficiently and evenly. I dont have but 2 CU "stakes" in one container, and 2 AL stakes in another, the rest of my bending is being done by bamboo stakes.

The oxidation of both copper and aluminum is very, very slow in comparison with the life cycle of your plants so I would say the short answer would be no, it shouldn't effect pH. Even if the wires were finely ground in to a powder and mixed in to your soil I doubt they would begin to oxidize quickly enough over the few months required for a average grow. Since copper requires oxygen to be converted to it's first oxidation state (copper carbonate) placing the wire below soil level should offer only tiny amounts of available oxygen so oxidation is essentially stopped below soil level.

ehh i wouldnt worry about it take the stalks from your old harvest and use them as stakes hah thats what i do. in my opinion natural is always better if you can just put twist ties or wire around the dried branches and you can fucks with ur plants all you want
