I don't know if this will helps but I just tied a longer peice of yarn around my plant, you can see the horizonal yarn at the bottom used it to keep it from overflowing out of the case... hope this picture gives you an idea of how it helped me..

use the cage stick her in there and tie her up like the bad little girl she's been!... whoo... wow where'd that come from? :P seriously I know another grower who has a tent and in order to follow the rules of his state he uses those cages to train his plants very effectively I might add.

I had a couple branches getting wild on me too, I just LST'd 'em back in line. Tied off on the main stem, and pulled the selected branches towards the center of the pot. I think tomato cages are a great idea though, and I think I'm going to use larger ones for my outdoor crop to promote better light penetration on a few plants, something to tie to when I want LST outside.

hahaha man you cracked me up. yeah i might just try to make one out of wire... that shouldn't be too hard, i've done crazier things in my day lol.

yeah, that's exactly what i'm doing right now, with the lst'ing, but seems like it'll be a constant fight if you know what i mean!

the other possibility is putting like 4 stakes around each girl and ductape/tying some of that floral wire around them....hm.. :joint:

good answers so far! thanks!

sounds good bro, yeah it was some work but I live in a small town and I have to drive at least 20miles-45miles to get to the bigger cities to have a bigger selection lol.. so yarn was easy to find and I knew it wouldn't cut into the plant.. just thought I'd throw it out there to give you an Idea bongsmilie

yea I made my own cages one year then found them at a local grocery store for $12 dollars each. And between bending soldering and groaning I think versus minimum wage it was about the same price to buy em. Although I gotta say a soldering torch tip can be used as a vaporizer piece, just make sure there is no lead on the tip. :)

ooh, hippysmoke, home made vapes, sounds like a recipe for burning myself! haha, but thanks for the tip about the grocery store. i'll check that out, $12 is reasonable!

or.... what about this?
12-inch grow thru loop

i saw smellytreez and maybe cd talking about something like this... three legs to stake it in. seems like i could fit all the main buds in those squares...

p.s. like a late-stage scrog?

I like your setup. CFL has earned a soft spot with me and I like to see tight grows with it. I've never heard of Blue Cream, but it sounds sick so I'm excited to see how the buds turn out.

Subbed, +rep!

you see it a bit on youtube but yet it is kinda revolutionary in comparison to the other known methods such as SCROG

thanks dumpster, and +rep to you for posting! blue cream is supposed to be a cross between Blueberry Cheese x Super Silver Haze (neither of which i know too much about), sativa/indica hybrid. anyway, she's looking good so far and the aroma is very nice!

never used one but I remember seeing them now they look relatively effective
i just realized 12" diameter is too big for my box :( because i've got two plants and the length of the box is only 24", so it would be crammed... i'll have to keep looking/thinking...

i *AM* growing a tomato... what did you think this was? haha... i'm serious.. i'll put some pics up later.

I'm thinking of making a light bulb shaped cage out of chicken wire. a few snips, bends, and patches. maybe held together with wire ties or bread ties. probably wire ties because i have so many. then tying the entire thing to the lip of the pot. not sure if that makes sense or if you could even work something like that in your garden. I might try it on one of mine tomorrow. if i do i will post some pics.

stoney, that sounds like a great idea. light bulb shaped, i like it. but wait a sec before you go buy the chicken wire... i just finished a shopping spree at the dollar store (dollar tree), and boy oh boy do i have some updates for you guys... just ive me a few minutes to upload the pics and such.

no kidding millyy. there are a few key differences between tomatoes and pot, well quite a few lol, but if you think pot is a wild plant, just try growing a tomato plant... they built "tomato cages" for a reason lol.

ok, lots of updates coming up my homies...
