Just want to start off saying, I am definitely in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM a pro at growin! lol, I WISH I was, but hence the title, "TRYING to gro like a pro" lol. I've still got a whole lot of learning, ect. to do before getting anywhere near that status. But I do what I can with what I've got.

~400w HPS Cooltube
~400w HPS Aircooled Hood

~471 CFM Fan for exhaust
~There are 9, 2" holes in the bottom of the box for intake

~And the Pineapple Express (Hempy Bucket) as well as all the Bagseed (soil) are getting tested on with a new nute I have done some research on, called 'Oscomote Plus' we'll see what happens with that.

*VEG BOX*

I was thinking the same thing. 55 inches isn't much headroom for the "stretch" run. And with all that light, you could have at least given them 6 feet, Hooked. Bend them bitches!!

lol, thanks man. That's what I was goin for. And yea I'll LST/Top/Supercrop whatever needs to be done. I'll just put plants in there when they aren't to old so they don't NEED to grow that hi

lol, you know I will!... I think I'll be alright with height.... I've done with 30" from floor to lights before, so 55" is just more room to play.

imsubbed as always and here to help if needed, u seem to got things on lock though.
Thanks bro, glad your joining.

Subbed & rep man, make it happen
Thanks man! For real! Your grows are prob my fav on this site!... I'm glad that your gonna be watchin. you tha man

Alright, here's some pix of the girls in flower.

Pineapple Express LST (Only Hemyp Bucket, tester)

Bagseed Trifoliate Topped (Also did some sort of weird stem split on one of the tops... Dunno if I've really ever seen anything quite like this before. lol)
PICT0213.jpgPICT0215.JPGPICT0215adj.jpg

Bagseed Topped, then suppercropped the 2 main tops
PICT0224.jpg

Bagseed Topped, then supercropped 1 top to keep at even height
PICT0227.jpg

Bagseed (I have NO IDEA what is wrong with this plant. It is the exact same age as the other bagseed. The ONLY difference is that I never topped this plant. It looks to be getting a severe nitrogen claw, but again, it's getting fed the exact same as the other 3 bagseed, so I'm really not so sure what's happenin here)
PICT0230.jpg

Oh and BTW, I'm using that Osmocote Plus on all the bagseed. Going with my reg nute (MG) or Jacks Classic on all my known strains. Except the PE in the hempy bucket, that's got the OC+ also.

man every thing is looking great. looks like your hempy bucket is doin by far better then mine did. are you just using perlite. and i thought that looked like a trifoiliate glad it was a female ive had about 10 of those and all were male. and as for your bag seed with the claw to me it looks like N over does like you said it may be the same strain as the other bag seed but possibly a different pheno so maybe give it a lil less nutes just my thoughts. youve came a long way hooked, keep up the great growing

Hey thanks MC, appreciate it man! Really! And I agree about the N overdose, but I've got OC+ in the soil. So I can't really STOP giving it nutes. lol, this is the reason I decided to try the OC+ on the bagseed. What's weird tho is that the other bagseed have the same amount of OC+ in the soil. I guess like you said, maybe just a different pheno than needs a little less nutes. Ah well, I'm not to disapointed, that's why I tried it on the bagseed. lol

And for my hempy bucket, I put just straight perlite in the bottom 2" of the bucket, just up to where the hole is, and filled the rest with a 50/50 - perlite/coco mixture. The Hempy bucket is also getting ZERO nutes besides the OC+ I put in there aswell...

Well first off, just wanted to say, mcpurple you've been with me from the beginning man. And if anybody on this site, YOU feel like my sorta 'grow partner' haha. Anyways..

So I just stopped by home on my lunch break. Man I love it when it's nice and cool outside. It's 71 degrees where I'm at, and when I got home and checked on my flower room, the lights have been on for 5 hours now, and the temps are steady at a awesome 72 degrees! Hell yes baby! WITH my 800w! So I'm excited about that! Got the flower room running pretty freakin good finally!..

Oh and about the Osmocote Plus. It's not really a 'slow' release fert. They call it a 'controlled' release fert. Unlike the little balls in MG soil that are filled with liquid nutes. These things are hard. Through and through they're solid, no liquid in them. I decided to give them a try because I followed a very successful grow using only the OC+ as nutrients from seed/clone till harvest. So I decided to give it a go, for simplicity reasons. And just to see what happens, these are bagseed (that I'm using the OC+ on) so it's not a huge deal. Of course I would like the plants to all be healthy as possible tho.

Here's what the back of the bottle of the OC+ says:

glad you feel that way hooked, i try my best to help with anything i can.
and its a nice cool day i my parts to its a nice change instead of the heat. glad the grow room temps are staying down. and the OC nutes look pretty legite makes it a lil simpler not having to follow a feed schedule. when i start growing again i want to try the jacks classic, subs super soil even though it seems kinda expensive but the results are great, and i also want to try this organic soil my city sells at jo grows its all organic and is very strong. so all in all i will be doin some different types of grows and nutes and methods when i ever start to grow again.

Well I found 2, exactly 2, no more no less, Male Balls (Not nanners, they were clearly male balls) on my trifoloiate. I took them off and took her/him outa the flower room. Should I just trash this plant you guys think? Or keep her goin since I cut the 2 balls off and haven't been able to find others?

Thoughts? Opinions?

if it were me hooked i would toss. in mos cases more grow back and some times they will be buried in the bud so you wont know. its better safe then sorry. ive seen a few trifoliates grow out and bud and they really dont seem to be better then regulars. or you could flower her outside if possible and just make hash with her/him. i dont know if i have mentioned this to you but Dutch masters reverse works well to stop a plant from herming and stops it from growing seeds. i have used it 2 times with success. and since then i used it on all plants weather it was a Hermie or not to be 100 percent safe against pollen and seeds. and once i start growing again i will use it.
but like i said i think it should be gone. sorry to hear this. at least you got alot more plants in flower

Everything is looking perfect man. I'm curious to see how the OC+ compares to plants with and without.

Hey yea thanks MC! That's what I was thinking the best idea would be. I took the plant outa the flower room last night and now it's got a completely fucked up light schedual. So I'm just gonna say fuck it, and toss this plant out. lol. I may be looking into that Dutch Masters Reverse tho, ya know, for future purposes! That stuff sounds like the shit! Is it something you spray on the plants on give them during a watering?..

And Machnak, thanks bro! Preciate it! Glad you'll be along for the journey.

you made the right decision in my books. and the dutch masters reverse is a spray on application. the only thing is in order for the DM reverse to work you also have to buy the DM penetrator as well. the reverse was 17.95 for a pint and the penetrator was 35.95 for a pint witch is kind of alot of money but it was worth it for me. im sure it can be found cheap but i use my hydro store. it lasts quit along time though

Well. After some brain storming I realized I have an extra 175w HPS I could be using. So..... Why the hell not?! :) I went ahead and put it in there. Temps haven't been any different. Here's some pix showin the new and improved setup.

And as you can see I keep the tops of my girls inches away from the light... The glass in the aricooled hood and cooltube is cool enough to touch with bare skin and not get burnt or hurt.

Lol man...that box cracks me up with 2 400watts and a 175. You should order a CMH bulb and throw that in there in one of the 400watters; would provide a wider spectrum. I think they're like 52 bucks and work with a 400 HPS ballast. Riddleme and co are swearing they're amazing, but I'm going up to 600 or 1k watts next grow, or I'd do it myself.
