How many plants in a 4x4 tent

hi everyone, im new to indoor growing and would like to know how many plants i could fit without over crowding the plants. im still not sure on the strain i will use but im sure it will be either purple kush, blue dream, or red diesel.
 
Depends on alot of stuff, like rzza said, your pots and how you got your fans and stuff set up. I have a 3x3 tent and I can fit 2 plants nicely. I had started with 5, but was getting too crowded, not enough airflow could get through and light too. I have mine one in a 7 gallon and the other in a 5 gallon pot.
 
64 6" pots.....

2 waterfarms in a scrog. I filled a 4' x 4' canopy with only 2 plants. Nirvana's Bubblelicious, grow in my sig.
 
It really depends on the veg time. Longer veg requires larger pots and longer veg will create bigger plants.A big factor is if your going from seed or clone. I seedling needs more veg time to mature and show sex, requiring a longer veg time, larger pot etc. The important thing is to insure that your light gives you 50w per sqft for flowering. You can fill the room with 1 to 50 plants and the wattage per sq ft doesnt change.
