How to sharpen Scissors

why are they called a pair of scissors when there's only one of them?? things that make you go hmmm..

she only did like curtains comforters , head board, made a whole hospital bed sheets for all the beds
And purses too....that was a one time deal with some charity thing....African kids painted soda tabs idk...was cool

The same reason it's called "Tooth Paste"

Years ago, I tried sharpening my pocket knife with a bench grinder. I would recommend NOT using one of those.

This is true....if you allow the metal to heat up too much you can actually temper the blades thereby softening them. If you don't know what you are doing use a whetstone w/bit of oil as lubricant...no not that kind of oil, lol. Another reason for dull scissors is the gap in between the blades...they grab instead of cutting. Cheapo scissors will be made out if cheapo metal that can bend easy... If you can clearly see light between the blades you should wetstone the high spots or bend them til flat & flush.

Thanks for testing. I completely agree. Not as good as actually sharpening. Do they work Better... Yes they do. The real test will be trimming in the next two weeks.

My goal is to just cut a few strips of sand paper when they start slowing down. See if it makes a difference.
