President Obama, February 2009

"We can not and will not sustain deficits like these without end. Contrary to the prevailing wisdom in Washington these past few years, we can not simply spend as we please and defer the consequences to the next budget, the next administration or the next generation. We are paying the price for these deficits right now. In 2008 alone we paid $250 billion in interest on our debt, that is more than three times what we spent on education that year, more than seven times what we spent on VA healthcare. So if we confront this crisis without also confronting the deficits that helped cause it, we risk sinking into another crisis down the road as our interest payments rise, our obligations come due, confidence in our economy erodes and our children and grandchildren are unable to pursue their dreams because they are saddled with our debts. That's why today I am pledging to cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy - it will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we have long neglected but i refuse to leave our children with a debt they can not repay. And that means taking responsibility right now in this administration, for getting our spending under control."

In January 2009, before President Obama had even taken the oath of office, annual spending was set to total 24.9 percent of gross domestic product. Total spending this year, fiscal year 2012, is expected to top out at 23.4 percent of GDP.
Here’s another interesting fact. Taxes today are lower than they were on inauguration day 2009. Back in January 2009, the CBO projected that total federal tax revenue that year would amount to 16.5 percent of GDP. This year? 15.8 percent.
One last nugget. The deficit this year is going to be lower than what it was on the day President Obama took office. Back then, the CBO said the 2009 deficit would be 8.3 percent of GDP. This year’s deficit is expected to come in at 7.6 percent.

They bragged about it
And by expand
Are you referring to the fact they actually improved the facilities so the prisoners arent out in fenced in kennels and can actually have some amenities like you know

You sound like odumbass and hate the American life. Let the motherfuckers who killed 3000 Americans go bring them to America so they can do it again. Iran would be a good place for you to live because they all hate America too.

Making a prison "nicer" doesn't change what it is. How many of the people imprisoned there have any chance to be released or will get a chance to be tried or speak on their own behalf?

Cheesus doesn't care if we kill them, so why does he care if they're left in a cage? Or don't have t.v.?

Both have an idea of how they think the world should be. It doesn't rally matter if the people don't agree with it. Neither one really cares. They just want to make things the way they think they should be and that is all that matters to them. They couldn't give a damn if it harms us economically or otherwise.

Do you have the intelligence to explain these things in your own words or are you limited to copy and paste propaganda.

If you believe that government spending has actually gone down in the last three years, please explain how this has happened because our national debt has consistently risen 45%!

So in your opinion, taxes are lower under Obama? Or is it that tax revenues are down because of less people in the work force paying federal income taxes? [/QUOTE]

Rather than a long response from my cell phone
Ill just call you a silly person
What's the matter, can't copy and paste so well from your smart phone!
Get back to me when you can intelligently answer the questions I posed, until then, we'll leave it as you being gullible and grossly misinformed.

This is akin to my promising my children that I will bring them home an icecream cake but on the way I encounter a horrible accident and I manage to help save the lives of those involved. When I finally get home and the cake is all melted my kids say "but you PROMISED", "you LIED", "You aren't a good dad at all"

Here again the right seems unable to differenciate between numbers (evidence) and propaganda. Here again, the right actually believes that facts that run contrary to their preconceived notions must surely be propaganda because they can't be fact, that would be impossible.
