I need help to determine whether my seedlings are fine or dead. :(

A few days ago i bought white widow auto flowering seeds, ive used 2 seeds and they germinated well. i have since put them into soil to start their first stages of their life. they’ve been in soil for a little more than a day. And i know patients is key but i did something that might’ve or might’ve not killed them. i need help to determine whether or not my seeds are alive or dead. when i put the germinated seeds into soil, they were in there for alittle over a day, the humidity has been in the 65-70% range, and the temperatures varies from 65-70 degrees as well. I was doing some reading and i found out that i might’ve put my seeds in the soil with the taproot facing DOWN, now i didn’t think this was a problem since apparently many people do that?? And also because i’ve read that they tend to always find their way up regardless of how they’re put into the soil. BUT, i saw this forum where it said that if you place your seeds in the soil with the tap top facing down, they have a chance to not grow at all. it explained that the reason was because they can grow ‘upside down’ or because the seeds tend to sprout out of their seeds in 180 degree angle or a ‘u-turn’, making it go upwards to break the soil. Not doing so can cause the seed to make TWO u-turns and it can exhaust the seed. That is what i read and it made me double think. I am a beginner and these are my first two seeds. With that true or false information, i tried to take matters in my own hand. The forum suggested to do what they called a little seed surgery, where you gently remove the soil from above the seed, you then gently get the seed and turn it over. it was only a day so i thought that maybe it wasn’t too late?? unfortunately or fortunately, that’s what i did, or attempted to do. the seeds looked in good shape, there was a clear difference in how long the taproots have gotten and it even started growing little hair like thingys on the taproot. both of them got longer and they looked healthy. I fixed their positioning and i gently placed the soil on top of them just how you would. BUT, i am not certain whether that was a very dumb mistake or if it was a good move. The taproots on both did not snap when i fixed them, but my worry is that i don’t know if i caused my seeds to go in shock? i think that’s the right term for it, or if i killed them by damaging the very delicate taproot. i also would like to know if there was any OTHER problems that could’ve occured when doing this procedure. I need help, all help is appreciated, thank you!:))

You suppose to put the tap root down. Roots grow DOWN into the soil. And what do you mean by all these U-turns? Roots grow down and the stem grows UP. Without pics of your current plants we have no idea on how to help you.

Glad you were able to read it.
I have a hangover and just looking at all those words gave me a headache lol.

Plants began growing from seeds 385 million years ago. I think they figured out which way is 'up' by now.
Here's what I do. I stick the seed in damp soil and wait. Works most of the time.
