I called about 10 different garden places before I gave up.
Googled a bit, and found out they feed it to chickens.

And once at a feed store, I just had to pick up a 50 lb sack of corn to try.
Straw, manure, and wood pellets as well.
Wow, I've never been to a feed store before.

I agree and have ducks and chickens. You can get crushed oyster shells by the bag at feed stores. I mix it with the feed. I grow hydro, so never had a use for it for a grow, but it is cheap.

You should have grabbed some alfalfa while you were there. It makes an awesome tea for your plants.It has a growth hormone that I can't recall the name of but has some serious effects.
To make it you put four cups of alfalfa in 5gal of water with a quarter to half a cup of Epsom salts. I suggest brewin it aerobicly with a yogurt culture and an airstone. It cuts the smell down by a huge amount.
Feed stores are awesome.

Alfalfa tea is for plants not fungi. I figured I would mention it even though this is the not pot section because it is a growing site and the stuff is really amazing.
I did forget to mention that you want to dilute the tea or it will possibly kill plants. One cup diluted to a gallon works quite well.
