80 cm X 10 cm X 1.5cm is the same as 31.5 inches X 4 inches X .59 inches. So it sounds like the material you're describing is certainly long and wide enough for a heatsink, but the fins are very short. I'm not a heatsink expert but my guess is this type of sink couldn't handle a single high-energy device like a Vero or CXA even with a fan because the fins are almost non-existent. You don't have enough mass directly behind the LED where it's needed most.

That's just my opinion. I'd also guess that a heatsink like the one you describe would be dandy for a large array of individual emitters.

But this 0.59 inches in fins have a "basement" of 0.16 inches of solid aluminium...
I am using it with other lights and support more than 70W without fan. Getting up to 40º celsius.

It looks to be good for about 50-55w for passively cooling
OR
~180w for actively cooling.

I get about 67cm^2 for every cm. So 80cm is around ~5360cm^2. And I was using 100cm^2/w for passive and 30cm^2/w for active.

You will need to indicate what your grow space dimensions (or coverage area needs) are for someone to answer you properly.

Not many reputable horti' options for under $225 (2 or 3 of the above linked products slightly exceed this in fact, but not by much). You can also look at regular LED light bulbs or the cheap generic Chinese horti' panels (Mars Hydro, Vipar etc.). Lots of LED grows to check out with all of these here in this section of the forum and in other forums too.

The closet is 2ft deep about 8 feet wide and 8feet tall.

I was debating on getting a grow tent, reason for this is I wanted to grow auto as well so thry can all veg together but when photos need 12/12 then they need their own spot.

Going led isn't necessary whatsoever for myself. Just curious what the best set up would be for myself.

None of the horti' panel options (within that budget) could cover your current spaces adequately. With the LED bulbs or something DIY, you might be able to work something out, but you need a more knowledgeable person to tell you if that's the case, not me. Sorry! One of them will be along soon to help you though, no doubt.

well, if you have two spaces and one of them can be light proofed (perhaps a tent large enough for flowering) then you are well on your way. You can't believe how many solutions you can find if you are vegging in one area and flowering in another light proof area. Then once you have determined your size, you can get better answers to your lights

Thanks! how you get this 67cm2 ? ... I dont know..
I think maybe could support more watts. I put allways more than 60W and never had problems with other red and blue leds.

It's quite simple. The perimeter of the HS is 67 cm and thus a piece of length 1 cm has the area of 67 cm^2. You can easily calculate area - multiply perimeter by length.
