Go green are just cobs and no they aren't even close to half price. Are you really that stupid? Comparing a grow light vs 6 cobs slapped in a Chinese production case. If you want cheap go with ECOSUNLIGHT.
Can you link a good amare in the $1000-$1500 price range?
They are always doing sales. I picked mine up for 100$ less than the plain Jane cob lights

Yo Smo. What's the wattage on those Amares? And are you using 1 to cover a 4x4

The above picture I swapped the uv t8 for a 6500k and used them on seedlings for about a week.from seed then switched the monos on till they were about 8 inches tall than switched the cobs. Once they adapted to the cobs I added the lenses. The lenses appeared to double the light intensity and didn't seem to kill the coverage. I hear other cob lights around use silicone to attack their cobs. These have a nice aluminum threaded ring that fits the 1lb lenses.

Hi guys!

I'm newbie and growing in 50*40*60 cm box.
I need a LED solution but I do not know what way to choose from:

1) One or two CREE CXA3590 (or CXB3590), $60 = 100W = 10000 lm. The proven solution, no bullshit from the manufacturer, but big price per lumen.

2) A couple of chinese 100W LEDs. Fantastic price ($5 = 100W = 8000 lm), but is this real? Also people in feedbacks tell about the problems with cooling, I do not have a problem with using good PC cooler but will be it enough?

Could you recommend me a pair of LEDs + driver as cheaper as it possible (my budget is $100, maximum $150) but with maximum "lm/$" ?
I do not understand is this true if chinese LEDs are 10 (ten!) times cheaper but only a bit more dimmer. Power efficiency 25-50% worse does not matter.

Is 1 piece of CXB3590 3500K is enough to get even 30-50g from box 50*40 cm? I want to use ScrOG and worry about low field of light, diffusion will reduce efficiency.

And could you recommend me driver+cooling system for 1 x CXB3590 and separately for 2 x CXB3590?
