Is hydro that much Better than soil? Wanting the big yield in small numbers

same temps to stop water born pathogens

depth has nothing to do with nutrient absorption, beanies in hydro the same for all tech

light leaks . .always a no no no matte what tech

and bacteria again all hydro worries about this

can you clue me into what you think is different about any of these from technique to tech

the trasnfer of macro micro nutrients is the same . . . . how you get there is unique to the style

if the end result your working toward is efficient nutrient absorption everything else is just conditional enviromental

some things are general some things are specific

nothing being discussed here is specific to one style of hydro styles

the rules are the same, but each system acts differently?. assuming that one knew the in's and out's of each type of grow system i still believe traditional hydroponics is easiest but i " know" aero and dwc have the fastest growth rates. pig donkey cat bird

id say they act the same, and work differently

how many styles have you mastered

all hyro grows faster yess, but that doest mean better

if you dont have enough light to support the amount of bud sites or enough nutrients , doesnt matter how fast or large they get, no nutrient transfer or not enough photosynthesis, which is a wholenother discussion, shitty buds

once you start to consistently produce over a gram a watt then i start ti fiddle and not before, cause at that time i know what i am doing

id master one style to be able to learn what you do and how it effects the plant and that info is invaluable strain to strain

for max production i like sog op's. .. its allot of work but worth it.

now a days i like good/great production and little work. im happy with my g/ watt cause i dont do shit and i still eat good. . if i just did one table and bought new this and that i could have heavy yeilds.. just as heavy as your no doubt.. same strain of course. its not rocket science and can jerk a plant off as well as you, if need be.

i get a couple p's a week ... my tweaking is done at this point.. probably 10 min a day in the room if that

even at your master level of gardening im sure you still fuck up once in awhile.. and im sure your still learning and tweaking your coco. them little flys never stop coming do they lol

lol ,ok master is a bad word to use

i guess i shoudl say consistant good returns .. . then improve or tweak . . just some advice, my bad for coming off all high and mighty i am a nonice i learn ore every day . . got to read, and these knds of discussion are normally spring board to learning more or elaborating on what i already dont or do know

to me its all the same, clean water, stable nutrients, clean rez/bucket/tube, 64-68 degree water, black lines and light restrictiveness tops, hydroton in net pots,

the few differences is one has roots submerged 100% of the time, one floods, one is being sprayed by a mist . but the transfer of nutrients across teh rhizo zone is the seam, water based soluble nutrient transfer through chelated nutrients, if you incorporate organic components in a water system all you asking is for more work

as foliage spray is just as efficient , and if im not mistaken , its more efficient
i tend to agree mostly, i lump all "hydro", soil-less, together just like cannabis links all of our strains together. we all know they have different needs, same with hydroponics. getting your plants as much oxygen and nutrients as possible to excelerate growth, while maintaining a healthy root system. bunch of ways to skin a cat type stuff... however i encourage people to try a bunch of styles out no matter how good you are. just make sure you understand the basics of each and start learning. nutrient chelation is a very good topic to be fromilar with. i still have never hit that magic 1g per watt number, came close a few times however. normal for me seems to be a LB of decent size buds, maybe a few more oz's of hash bud, per 600w. i try for that every time at least, then im never let down. congrats to you though!

very true mush,

its been a bit since hydro, but i guess im still doing the same thing but different channel

i have been thinking moving toward drip systems so i can take vacations

lookin at my sick girls now, watching my yield disappear, i was thinking the same thing!! 2 week vacation kicked me in the jewels. i love my wife, but she's much better at raising our real baby than my girls.bongsmilie
