So, for those of you who are so against the co-ops here in AZ, you support this?
The dispensaries did this to them selves I shopped at plenty of Cali dispensaries and I can tell you they sell very expensive meds and the law clearly states " not for profit" and what do they do instead of lowering the price of meds??? Nothing they just increase their yearly salary and raise red flags every where 400 a ounce is the same price as a street level dealer.Yeah they may show "no profit " on the books but when you start stepping on the toes of the FEDS showing salaries of 6 figures into the millions . Legalization will happen soon its just a matter of time before the FEDS figure out a way to get rich off it.You sounded hell bent on seeing that no one uses them. Sounds like the feds will take care of that for us now.
I fully support their right to exist as long as it they do not interfere with my right to grow for myself. I think supporting them is an important step forward in the bigger picture to what we all want in the end, lower prices and safer access for everyone. CA shops were getting 500+ for an oz a few years ago... and look what happened when the free market started to work.
I think Colo has it right no one is really bothering them.I agree with Beav and Phil. I have not even seen one shred of evidence to justify the prices that these compassion clubs and dispensaries charge. When you operate under the guise of not-for-profit and you net MILLIONS OF DOLLARS in income per year, you are cheating the system and should be ashamed of yourselves. If they txed the sale of it and left us little fish have our rights to grow a couple you'd actually find an equitable price.
I haven't heard of new mexico getting punked around eitherI think Colo has it right no one is really bothering them.
Thats what I noticed about the CA dispensaries and I'm a pretty educated dude. Just knowing they were raking in so much loot but yet never lowering their prices. To me it was like what the oil companies do only this time the FEDS have the upper hand.Colorado also allows profits. they are fighting California on the not-for-profit aspect of their businesses. You are allowed to make money and pay your employees in a non-profit business, However they are going outside of what is acceptable, if an owner is making more than $150,000 per year they are basically screwed.
Yes, the dispensaries did this to themselves by locating near schools, libraries etc where youngsters gather. Just think if they had rational owners who opened in good locations to serve the clients rather than saturate areas so heavily. Staying off the radar is the ONLY way to operate whether a patient or a dispensary until the FEDS grasp reality & the LAWS change to more reflect reality. We all know prohibition has been an extreme failure.
Who knows, we may find out AZ has it right by not having dispensaries & allowing us to grow & become caregivers. Who needs a store to attract the wrong attention ? The State makes their money licensing patients & caregivers. Who needs more ?
The future is brighter than ever, just another bump along the way.
