Will 1 week really take all the nute taste out for sure??? some reviews are saying I might need 2 weeks I am kind of skeptical I am a connoisseur of weed I don't wanna taste anything, but pure bud LMFAO!!!!!!!
Focus on the drying and curing as it's known on the boards. However it's more accurate to say cure and dry. From when you cut and place your buds in your curing chamber, from then until 72hrs makes a tremendous difference in how the final product tastes, smokes and stores. Higher humidity is good, at long as there is sufficient airflow to prevent mold. The goal is to have enough ambient moisture so that the plant continues it's metabolic processes. A simple paperbag is an old standby and one could get creative with cardboard boxes with vent flaps and fishing line. A humidity/temp meter would take a lot of the guess work out. Mine cure ~75% rh plus/minus 10% initially then gradually ramp down to 55%. Temp is at ranges from 75 to 65 degs. I put my cure/drying boxes in my bloom room since it has a good range of humidity and temp and with the light cycle fluctuates through the above mentioned range.

As for flushing, I think it makes more of a difference for growers who feed their plants heavily (>EC 1.2). In my mind, shorting the plants on nutrients when they most require it is different than tapering off the nutrients as the trichomes ripen. They are two different aspects bunched together as flushing.

Kona i will make this VERY easy for you. i NEVER taste any fert's in my bud....

Flush with molasses water 2 weeks before harvest. (i use 1 gallon of water per 1 gallon of soil for flushing). this is to "clear" the nutrients in the soil.
Fresh water for the last 2 weeks of harvest. this way no more nutrients build up. the plants dont use nutes for the last 2 weeks anyways, since they are dieing naturally....

curing and drying.
Harvest and trim the leaf.
Hang to dry untill the buds become a little dry.
Place in GLASS JARS (i use old pickle jars :D ) for 12 hours.
place Buds on screens for 24 hours.
Back in the glass for 12 hours.
Repeat Screens / Glass every 6~ hours.

curing your weed this way pulls the chlorophyll out of the stems in the plant and evaporates it with the moisture. the buds will slowly turn golden rather than dark green over the curing process. it will also allow for a completely even moisture content in your buds.

So here are my flowering girls, so these are supossed to be 7 weeks from seed to harvest, I actually planted them in the dirt June 16th at like 12:15am LMFAO so hopefully they will be getting close, #3 looks closer than the other 2 to me, but is also half their size if that matters :) Going to start flushing all of them!!! I am going to let all of them go at least a week longer than recommened.....What are your thoughts?

untill the stems are totaly dry and crack when bent. i forgot to say that haha.

store your weed in jars for long term storage to keep the flavor, aroma, taste and High all unchanged.

Kona looking good wow!- things are definitely happening! Anyway, here is my 2 cents to screw you up- lol... I don't personally believe in ever flushing soil pots unless I see salts building up in the soil. All I'd do is feed less towards the end... Plants do fine in nature without a "flush" and the last couple weeks alot of weight is going on the buds- why starve yourself when your working hardest at the gym is my thinking... But there are a million ways to do things I suppose. It would be really good to possible flush one pot side by side another pot you just stop feeding, and note the difference- what do you think? As for when to harvest it's a matter of a magnifying glass and your choice of more amber trichs or less, I recommend also doing a side by side on this one too and seeing what yout preferences are... :)

Lookin frosty btw- congrats!!! yumm!

Hehehe thanks Tb there you are :) I was wondering when you were gonna pop up ;) I do have a mag glass and I have def smoked buds that have not been flushed and you can def taste the diff lol!!! I mean I can see what you are saying if someone has not over fertilized them then essientially they should be fine, cause in nature they have not had nutes used on them.....but even though I did go light on the nutes I really want to make sure they all get washed out cause weed with the nutes not washed out burns crispy and does not taste as dank....me I know this for sure lol!!!!!

Ahh- the internet... But don't worry- if you meet me in person- you'll never have to "wonder" muhahahah

As for the rest, that's fair- I just don't think you were overfeeding them in the first place. Overfeeding tends to slow growth even before burns are obvious in my experiences... But who knows- until a real scientific test is done in a lab somewhere- I say it's all up to personal preference :) I still say Homebrewers nuggs are amazing looking, and he shares my outlook on flushing. I have seen/tried flushed too and it was nothing to complain about- so still have no clue for sure... haha
