I’ve used Can-Fans, Hydrofarm, Vortex and Hurricane and for the price/quality Tjernlund is hard to beat. That’s what I’ll be using from here on out. The company specializes in ventilation and are made in the US. Their 6” cost half of that Vortex.

Manufacturer Warranty TJERNLUND LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY.

I love saving money, but a 1 year warranty doesn't inspire confidence. I bought some inexpensive hydro farm active air fans a few years back. Both failed within 2 years. I've got a Soler and Palau inline fan purchased 12 years ago that still runs like a top. I have a can fan max fan that's at least 8 years old that was $170 when I originally bought it. Worth every penny. The vortex is 3 years old, so I can't speak to longevity on that one. I don't mind saving money on quantum boards from alibaba, but when it comes to my inline fans cooling my hoods I don't mess around.

I’m interested to know what fan you have. A 6” in-line centrifugal fan typically has over 400 CFM and 6” carbon filters are typically rated at 400-500 CFM.

130 CFM is definitely not enough and most of your airflow is probably being killed by your carbon filter.
Oh boy. Yes, you will need a better fan. Lots available on Amazon. If you've got a few extra dollars I'd recommend the 6" Vortex power fan. 497CFM for $158 @ home depot. I've used one for a few years and it's a beast of a fan.

So the mistake I made when getting into this was listening to someone who clearly didn’t know what they wer talking about haha

They said not to spend money on branded fan/cf and I did exactly that , but I’m definitely gonna switch em out first chance I get ,

and hey after all what’s $150 when it’s for the benefit of the ladies lol :bigjoint:
