i just like trying to work out how many dabs, spliffs and bongs he's had before each vid. when he interviewed that spectrum guy, you could pin point the exact moment he broke.

Which par meter would you guys recommend? still the apogees ?
The MQ-500 quantum meter is the tool of choice for scientists all over the world to accurately measure photosynthetically active radiation from all light sources. It has a hand-held meter, attached via cable, that displays and stores measurements.
Dunno why I got one.....:bigjoint:
I believe there's new version out.

Also there's the usb version that you can plug into a laptop

Conor from Lumatek got back to me.

In regards to the Driver, this is our own manufactured driver. It has been created with the same level of quality and reliability as our world-class HID ballasts, and that's why we also offer a 5-year warranty on our Zeus range.

We have used Philips (Lumiled) & Osram in the Standard Zeus 600W however in the Pro we wanted to use our own High-efficiency Diodes we call LUMLED. This and the fact it contains 3708 diodes in total rather than 1968 on the standard version. This is the main difference between the two.

The fixtures have been tested in a sphere within our factory. I don't have those too hand but It might be possible I can if you give me a few days.

For more information please see our website. there is also an awesome article done by DIYLED UK, it's on their website if you want to check it out for some extra stats.

Attached I have added our current PPFD testing PDF file. We are currently revising the design and adding new test points so I hope this will do for now.

Many thanks and I hope to hear back from you soon.

Dont just go for the pro because it has a high output. Its too much for a 1.2m area unless you dim it.

When your working with the same format light, its just a case of moving the non pro to 14" to get similar numbers to the pro at 18".

I need to get more maps done to show this but no time at the moment.

Oh wow really? So the 600 will still be a solid light?

Lumetek been sitting on these lights for how long. When they going to get independant lab photometrics posted up? Those Lumiled 3030 they got are ~189lm/W @ 65mA and only 123lm/W run at 120mA. Guess we could drop them low and run them low for efficiency.

"LUMLED". lol, lol. That nice lady made a mispronunciation in the video, and now spin goes into action. When are UK companies actually going to start making stuff in UK? Or are they Maltese, company is registered there., isn't it?

And the old (now) MQ520 has built in memory. You could use their software to set sample intervals. Plug in a 5v power supply, map out tent, go back to computer and bingo bango. Don't think any of the new extended PAR range ones have that ability. Its starting to get like computers and mobile phones, no sooner you get one and a newer one is out.

I hear 'Lumled' on the video, i see'Lumled' on their brochure and Conor from Lumatek says our own high efficiency 'Lumled' diodes on the pro, lumiled on the 600.
No one has any idea what they are. No spec sheets to peruse over.
I'd imagine the heatsinks are made in bulk in China, same with the strips. It keeps the costs down.
I don't think there's anywhere in the UK that can compete with Chinese prices.
Personally I think their led fixtures are a very viable option for UK buyers. 5 year warranty, they're round the corner not half way around the world, less down time.
Migro Shane seems to have given it an honest test or else he'd have marked it less efficient than his own fixtures?
Diyleduk did do some calculations and will do more testing soon.
I like looking at par maps and the 600 Zeus pro looks sweet to me, very even spread, nice spectrum too.
There are lots of places in the UK to get the fixtures independently tested, I'll ask them about it later and see what they say.
I'd definitely try one.
What do you think about them......?

I think they look beautiful. But the spec for the Lumileds 3030 they currently got in them isn't upto 301B standards. So people are basically being drawn in by finish and appearance of the bars. I can build a smashing kit car, but I am not going to try sell it to you without being honest that I got a Metro engine in it.
